From an administrative perspective, which of the following will assist you to enforce registry settings, without permanently altering or "tattooing" the registry? They have both Group Policy and System Policy Editor listed. Since System Policy Editor was used to do what Group Policy does on Windows 95/98/NT 4 and they talk about Windows 95 in the opening statement which is pre group policy what would you think the correct answer would be!!!

You won't find it in the Programs menu, however. What is the name of this menu-absent tool? " from what I remember, Windows 2000 didn't include msconfig

But if you'd ever used Policy Editor you'd remember that it effectively 'tattooed' the registry since, when you removed a policy template the settings stayed unchanged (in GPs when you remove a policy the settings are also removed). To remove the settings in Policy Editor you had to first re-apply the template, then change the settings back, then remove the template again. It was a right PITA, especially if you couldn't find the right template to re-apply (e.g. a custom template - aaaggghhhh!!!!).

Never heard of PerformancePoint, Altair Basic or Ray whatshisface! With regard to Q8, I took the Windows 95 reference as irrelevant drivel and answered it based on the rest of the question.
