I have been recently trying to sort out my collection and thought I would give some of mine, and see what other people used. Clonezilla G-Parted The "naughty" disc A random audio CD and DVD for drive testing purposes ...assorted Windows OS disks and Office disks. Most of my "useful" software is on a USB key, and I have been experimenting with a multiboot USB disk (still not got it the way I want it, though) 1

Beyond that I have no other disks as I do not require them.
sidewinder Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Apart from various OS discs I really dont use any, no point when you can keep stuff on the network and USB stick. The Active Killdisk is one I use for wiping computers but thats about it

Anyway, much like people have said: Drivers disk for the 4 different machine makeups in the school Unatttended OS disks (until I get WDS or FOG working! lol) Ubuntu Live CD OphCrack for the odd machine that I've not got round to sorting from my predecessors network / workgroup hybrid he seemed to be running CloneZilla (both USB and CD) That seems to be about all I need. Anything else is stored on a network share that I can access using the tools above should I need to.

russdev Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Interesting thread as just creating our department usb stick so far: RM CC4 Build Disk UBCD Couple of scripts one for getting all rm log files & zipping. Then another that is used to change serial number after bios has been flashed. Just reading few of others people suggested (of course apart from hiren) All linked with nice grub4dos menu. Russ
