That's what I thought, but just wanted to ask. Was just wondering if there was any physical difference, or essentially it's an identical bit of kit with a different sticker on it! In the scheme of things, they aren't that expensive, but don't want to spend money for the sake of it.

I know that Cat5e cabling is the minimum that should be used now, but what about the patch panel? We are looking at the possibility of getting Ruckus set up throughout the school, and I need to add in an extra patch panel. I have a Cat5 patch panel lying about that I could use, but would using this have any effect on performance? In other words, do I need to buy a new patch panel? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I am trying to find a replacement PSU for a HiperPower HPU-4M530 V3, but am having difficulty finding an alternative with all of the same connectors (I think!). Is a P8 connector (as on http://www.6thplanet.com/store/technical/pdf/hpu-4m530.pdf) the same as a EPS12V connector?

As the 26th October was during half term (or I slept though the meeting!), will there be another Network Northants meeting before the winter break?

Signs, posters and lessons. Short of using them as the circuit breaker, I'm not sure what to do! We have Bretford trolleys through RM. One of them is quite old now, but even the newer one we had in August doesn't have this facility. The 'soft start' seems to be a Loxit product, with the Bretford equivalent being 'EPM'. These upgrades look to be in the region of £200 each and are design to fit inside the trolley. This is the type of system that I am after, but would be happy with something that is just attached to the wall where the trolleys are charged (they are never plugged in anywhere else). Is there such a product?

We have a couple of 16x laptop trolleys in the school. However, staff are not very good at following instructions, and forget to turn off the switches inside, and subsequently trip the circuit breaker. To make things worse, it is the same circuit as our servers. I was wondering if connecting the laptops up to a UPS to charge would prevent this sudden surge of 16 power packs from tripping the fuse breaker, with the UPS dealing with the surge? Was looking at something like Extra Value 500VA UPS - GREAT PRICE | Ebuyer.com Would this work? Has anyone faced something similar and found a solution?

We have got a PAT testing chap in today, and I have just spotted that he has tested some of our "double" power leads (one plug, two "kettle" plugs on the other end). He has put a sticker on each of the kettle plugs, and not one the whole lead. Is this correct? Surely if one is faulty, that make the whole lead faulty? Obviously, he will charge us per sticker, so just want this clearing before we get the bill!

Has anyone had any luck with this since the big change over the summer? The head no longer appears to be able to send emails from home, the just bounce back as "Undeliverable" due to "Relaying denied". Having spoken to Capita, they just say it is not possible, and the only way to send a head email out of school would be to use the OWA. This is extremely inconvenient for the head. At the moment I use the relay.embc.uk.com for the SMTP server, and entering the standard smtp.embc.uk.com just refuses to send. I have tried entering a EMBC user account, but then it refuses as the email address doesn't match. Any ideas?

Right, so the stickers are the licence? I can just install them as vanilla Win XP without risking the wrath of Microsoft?

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but wondering if this has changed, or what people have experienced? I have a number of RM PCs with Windows XP Pro Licence stickers on them. Does this entitle me to install Win XP Pro on to them using the key, or are the licences locked to the CC3 network and/or organisation they were originally a part of?
