elsiegee40 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Like many of you probably, I've had a very busy and somewhat sressful half term and I am so looking forward to next week. I've got the week off. We head north tonight for a few days staying with my mum in the Peak District. No internet access available Have a good time you lot, whatever you're up to... might see you again next Wednesday
Tcsltd Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Enjoy your week!! I have a couple of days off next week to chill out
SC-UK Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 No internet access available You'll make Tuesday lunchtime before going slowly insane and then writing Facebook status updates on the wallpaper 1
IanT Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I'm in all next week, got contractors re-directing cabling and some new switches going in. no rest for me
sonofsanta Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 I'm in all next week, got contractors re-directing cabling and some new switches going in. no rest for me I'm there with you - 6 new PoE switches to fibre in to let us swap 30 odd WAPs for newer N routers. Plus upgrading the MIS server and patching Serco. Plus reinstalling a room if we have time, possibly updating servers, taking all the laptops out to run AppDeploy GPOs and WinUpdates... all of a sudden a week I was struggling to fill is looking a bit too full!
Pete10141748 Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 (edited) TGIF is right, looking forward to my 9 days off, espeically with my copy of Bioshock 2 waiting patiently to be played.... oooooh yes This is also the first time in 3 years that I'll have not been at work during a holiday (except Xmas when the school is actually shut) which is made even more awesome by the fact that I've never been paid for any holiday work being a term-time only employee! ninjabeaver Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 SIMS server update, Ruckus fine tuning, updating servers, ticking the box to allow multicasting on the Procurve switches and cleaning of the ICT Suites computers. Might take Friday off, but I'm taking two days off week after.
Domino Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 hmmm, had to deal with DFSR destroying itself again, and backups failing and building new machines all week... TO THE PUB!
witch Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Off to Nottingham tomorrow to see friends until Monday - then a variety of things: lunches, art galleries, dog walking, music practice and mother-sitting. Probably end up tireder than when we finished.. Still, a week Monday one of my schools has a training day so I only have one job which will ease me back in. Sod's law has given me a VLE problem at one school, and a software problem at the other, none of which I could sort before I left - which drives me UP THE WALL Still To the chip shop!!!!!
Edu-IT Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Totally agree witch. I hate those lingering problems you have to walk away from and leave at the end of the day.
Guest richard_s Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Normal week for me apart from Thursday when I have my motorcycle theory test so I'm spending my free time studying for that.
dobsonl Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 normal week for us, apart from exchange upgrade, long overdue

laserblazer Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Portugal for a few days but the weather forecast isn't looking good.
maniac Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Projector and whiteboard servicing for us this holiday, well overdue. Also rounding up those rougue machines the virus checker's reporting as out of touch for more than 30 days - can bet your life they're broken machines that no one's bothered to tell us about. Mike.
p858snake Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Fight confiker week for my team *whisper* it's easier to segregate the network into smaller chucks then re-image EVERYTHING including servers and make sure the antivirus is update to date.
