Still - a train journey to Cardiff, some shopping, lunch in Jamie's Italian and then more shopping won't be that bad now that the new John Lewis has opened. I'll hide in the cafe if I need a break :-)

That sounds like something straight out of a horror movie!

All online yes. Everything delivered and a few pennies to wrap. I'm all golden!

See that's how I'd do my shopping, given half the chance, but no.. apparently it's not in the festive spirit to do that. Apparently you have to spend an hour queuing to get into the carpark then a further hour trying to get from the carpark to the shops to then spend another hour at the cash desk while the sales assistant talks to her friends, answers her phone and then looks at you like you've just dropped out of a donkeys bottom when you want to pay cash rather than credit card.

I hate shopping !!

Women are strange!

I do all mine online, dont see any reason to brave the hoards in the shops when you dont have to

Even if a wife/girlfriend wanted to go shopping, there is no way on earth id go with them

Weekends are meant for important things, like football and beer, which is mostly what I'll be doing with mine

Done my Christmas shopping only had one present to buy. So I can now relax and take it easy as I have no decorations put up either.

I'll admit to enjoying that bit. Our house looks like Santa's grotto... but lacking the presents obviously :)

Indeed - not much for football but it is Heineken Cup weekend on SkySports!!!!!! Bring on the rugby.

Aren't they kinda crucial to the grotto look?

And if my other half let me buy the presents online they'd be tucked up under the tree by now completing the look.. Another tick in the box for online shopping !!:D

Has anyone else here not done any Christmas shopping yet?

I haven't, and never do. My wife starts Christmas shopping in January, and is usually well done by July.

We also haven't bought a present for each other in 20 years, preferring to treat our daughter with something special.

She is also a nurse, so invariably works over Christmas, meaning we always get invited to someone else's for dinner.

So, apart from getting her a crimmie card, and putting my rather fancy LED lights out the front of the house which takes all of an hour, I never worry about "Christmas", let alone shopping.

Ain't life sweet.
