Sandwich heaven!

Just had a walk around to Morrisons to get some lunch and bits and pieces. A lo! There was a new bagette on the sandwich shelves. Spicy chicken with tzatziki and onion. Lovely, lovely sandwich, and definately a 9 out of 10!

What's your favorite sandwhich (it can be home made or store brought), or the best one you have come across recently?

Oh good question!

 

I have recently discovered the joy of making my own bread and honestly it has revolutionised my sandwich experience. Chunky wholemeal with butter, Quorn sausages (yep a veggie), onion and mustard. Sandwich joy!

Mine is without a doubt the Southwest Cheese Steak with Chipotle sauce and everything from the subway salad tray apart from olives. (lots of jalepeneos and gherkins as well ) Oh an of course, its has to be foot long, none of that 6 inch nonsense.

 

Ah its made me hungry

 

I only have a pot noodle today

and its not even a real one, its from asda

Subway have changed the Monday "sub of the day" to chicken tikka. Shame they don't have a korma or masala sauce to go on it.

Co-op do an awesome sandwich.

Something along the lines of Chicken, Bacon, Stuffing, onions and mustard. It's damn fine!

Subway Spicy Italian, Lettuce, Tomato, Jalapeno and South West.

 

I love the South West sauce, I even buy a 5L bucket from our local Subway every now and again. It is heaven in a sauce.

It is appropriately called "The Fat B*stard" on the whiteboard by the burger van and the cook took great enjoyment from going "Here you go - fat b*stard" when handing it over

I don't eat much salady stuff so eat the 'few' things I do eat often (like lettuce and onion)

When I was at 6th form I used to work in a cafe, but I bought my lunch from a sandwich shop round the corner (the place I worked was too expensive, even with staff discount). I used to have half a massive stottie with brie and grapes. I only had 15mins for lunch as well so I used to buy it on the morning and it would sit in the cupboard till lunctime so the cheese was all squishy. It's making me hungry just thinking about it!!

Not really a sandwich but the vegetable samosa that M&S does is divine. I have cravings now for sweet, sweet samosaaaa *drools*
