Popular Post EduTech Posted July 22, 2009 Popular Post Posted July 22, 2009 Interesting journey home this evening, Coming up past a local school to my house and i saw a suspicious person who jumped over a fence, got caught at some traffic lights so managed to see what he was up to.. anyhow he puts a box under his arm and a walking stick on his hand and starts walking off. I get a good luck at who the person was, and at the box he was holding! and the box looked exactly like a box a nice shiney laptop would come in.. and i could see it was sealed! So, i phone 999 and report it all to them.. whilst following this guy giving them loads of details of where he is, direction, what he is wearing etc and continue to follow him They inform me police are on there way... so i continue to follow him! 5 minutes later 3 police cars come racing down the main road.. one of them go straight past but the second point him out and go and pull him over! taking the box from him and handcuff him! Women phones me back and asks if i can still see this person, and i say yeah he has just been arrested. I don't tend to pay much attention, but this time of the year things like this happen as you all know.. and i am fed up of seeing people get of with it and the schools having to go through insurance claims etc. So glad to see someone get caught for it for once! So someone is going to walk into said school tomorrow to find a missing laptop, but should see it given back to them soon enough Job done, now i need to have a rest and put my feet up hehe Just thought i would share it, made me smile this evening James. 39

It was on a main road, and to be fair police station is just down the road.. took them about 10 minutes! :-) so pretty quick.. got to give them chance to get through the 2 main round abouts! Yeah suppose! :-) i never had any doubts to be honest it was pretty obvious from my point of view! i mean c'mon who jumps over the fence with a sealed box! would of felt such an idiot though if he was... i was very shocked he looked quite old..

Yeah the area is well known for it, The school i work at is about 20 minutes from this one.. but my grandad's school is one of it's connecting schools and my grandad has quite alot of people hanging around his school.. and i do alot for the same school and always hear of this happening! But yeah would hope the school tighten up the security i mean it was 17:30ish and the guy had walked accross an open field!
