Little-Miss Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I bet this has been talked about before, but i find it kinda interesting.. I'll start. Little Miss isn't from those cute little story books, i got it from a lad at my last school who just couldnt remember my name. Because i'm not the tallest of people he just simply refered to me as "little miss". I found it quite amusing. Next..
FN-GM Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 part of m address, i just glanced at an envelope on my desk when i was signing up
sdc Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Just my initials... not feeling very imaginative when I signed up I guess!
plexer Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Used it for years and years around bulletin boards and internet forums, irc etc... originally used to mplexer or multiplexer I think becuase they had come up in a uni lecture the day I started to use it. Ben
localzuk Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Mine's my old business name from a few years ago, with 'uk' added on the end.
Sirbendy Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 lack of Viagra. Not really. I can get into tiny spaces, and am usually happiest lurking in them, so..Sir Bendy worked quite well. Even my web subdomain uses it.
tech_guy Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I was always being called the tech guy so it stuck. The underscore hails from my days as a db programmer - old_habits_die_hard.
Gatt Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Mine has been shortened from "Gattancha" which I used back in my CounterStrike days Gattancha, was taken from the film Gattaca, which was on when I first started playnig CS and needed an ID...
Mcshammer_dj Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Once forced to be a DJ for my mates 11 year old daughter, named me mcshammer in front of the kids and the name stuck. She is at uni now but still uses the name
alexknight Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Well mine came from two sources, the first being my first name and the second being my second name. It originally came from my birth certificate though. As you would imagine it did take some time for me to come up with the user name, although in recent years I have started using italex. Alex
elsiegee40 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 My initials and an age that life begins at
riedquat Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Mine's an obvious reference to a classic computer game.
HarryMonkey Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 It's what most people know me as, so I thought I'd just go with it and see how I got on.
K.C.Leblanc Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I used to be NedG on another forum, however there was a spate of using Ned as a derogatory term (it's scotish for chav), so I became K.C. Leblanc. Why? Because some site told me it was my pornstar name. 1
ninjabeaver Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 I got mine from the back of an old HDD. We had a small stack of HDD's with pictures drawn on them in white circuit board 'ink'. The best one was a Samurai Beaver. So my in shop LAN gaming tag was Samurai Beaver, but then I got called ninja for a few stealth kills and changed the name to 'NinjaBeaver' and it's stuck with me ever since, and it was easy getting the forum name accounts with that as well. I just wish I had kept the HDD with the pciture on it. We had boats, aircraft, tanks and other things on them as well.
jcs808 Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 Mine was automatically given to me when I had my first ISP account about 12 years ago.
Dos_Box Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 When setting up EduGeek I needed an account to test messaging and other settings, so I created Dos_Box. Once people started to join (quite unexpectedly I must admit!) I was logged on as that account when I started to reply to people with it. After that I saw no reason to change, and it offered me a certain degree of anonymity from those with more jealous motives.
AngryTechnician Posted November 6, 2008 Posted November 6, 2008 (edited) Same as WithoutMotive, mine is the name of my blog. Of course, the question then becomes "Why did you name your blog that?" Edited November 7, 2008 by AngryTechnician Realised there was more to it than that!
