Don't forget!

Clock go back 1 hour tomorrow morning at 2am.

All those with radio-controlled clocks need not worry... but that's just lazy.

I have a stupid obsession with time accuracy so I'll be making sure every clock in the house is exactly to time before I go to bed tonight :nerd:

Looks the caretakers will be busy synchronising all corridor and classroom clocks!

There were some red-tape problems with this at work.

It was asked of everyone to help the caretakers out by changing the clocks in their own classrooms before half term. This meant getting up on chairs or whatever to reach the clocks, changing the time and putting them back.

SMT didn't seem to have a problem with this.

However, when the LRC Manager wanted to change the curtains in the LRC she wasn't allowed because she wasn't insured to be up that high and, apparently, neither were the caretakers!

So, we can get on chairs to change clocks but can't go up to change curtains. No one can.

But, of course, the caretakers can get a massive ladder to get footballs off the roof of the gym.

Sorry... rant over.

Have some empathy with you here, having just been on a Working at Height H&E course. I am apparently not allowed to carry anything when climbing a ladder or step ladder. When I asked how I was meant to get a projector down from the pole it was suggested that I get a carrier (like a shoulder bag). Either that or a mechanism to lower the pole to working height whilst standing on the floor. (Working at height is to be eliminated wherever possible) I can see that idea going down a storm with SMT - not.

As for clocks, I too alter them all before retiring. Who cares what the time is - it's all relative anyway.

I've only been up since 8 but was wide awake. Instead of going back to sleep, I, for some reason, decided to get up and go out in the back to try and get all the rubbish in the wheelie bin.

I feel lazy now, went to bed about 1 ish, only got up now, 11:40, feeling refreshed.

Just thinking how the bell will run at school, it's o a timer set to go off at certain times, but the site manager can't re-program it because he's been in America for 2 weeks and has still got 1 week left.... this could be interesting when the kids get back after half term and the bell to send them home goes at 2:05

found out that a certain someone was working in a primary school last week during half term. clock was wrong in a ICT suite so he changed it. then realised they were all 1 hour slow!!!! (this was on monday)

so changed them all!

turns out before going on the holidays the caretakers had changed all the clocks ready for the 1st day of term tomorrow!!!
