Anyone got any good photos of things staff have broken? I had a member of staff in this morning with her laptop that she dropped over the weekend, fortunatley its only the screen thats stuffed!

Fell, opened itself on the way to the ground and executed a perfect swan dive onto something large, solid and about the size of a cricket ball which was coincidentally on the floor under it. Either that or someone's been playing french laptop cricket at the weekend.

I would bet that they slammed the lid closed on something. Cant figure out the situation where it falls out of a bag, opens up and hits something pointy.

I like your theory outtolunch whatever it 'fell' on it must have gone with a hell of a crack as the dent on the lid is tiny.

I'm more willing to be it was left open by a couch, forgotten about and was stepped on (probably drunkenly and on class A drugs) when the user got up!

We had two teachers reverse over their laptops in the space of one week, neither of them looked as bad as that. However, they were closed and in their laptop bags so I suppose that made all the difference.

I've seen that kind of damage before. My money is on someone carrying the laptop with the power unit in beween the keyboard and screen.

My guess would be someone dropped it out there bag while on a bike at a semi high speed. That or they somehow ran over it with a car.
