And here we go again......

"Slow response times from the MIS

We are again seeing slow response times from the MIS pages. Our team is working on this as a priority.

We would like to apologise for the inconvenience this is causing.

Everyone trying to get reports out at the end of term no doubt. Getting very much beyond a joke now, this is the third major slowdown this week.

This could be a wider Microsoft related issue as we've seen issues with our other Microsoft hosted solutions, including Outlook and our admin portal.

Presumably not this issue then?

Some users in the United Kingdom have reported issues using Microsoft 365 services

ID: MO880495

Issue type: Advisory

Status

False Positive

Impacted services

Microsoft 365 suite

Details

Title: Some users in the United Kingdom have reported issues using Microsoft 365 services

User impact: Users in the United Kingdom have reported issues using Microsoft 365 services.

Final status: We've determined through service telemetry that the Microsoft 365 service and environment was healthy. An external ISP networking issue may have resulted in access issues or latency. A service incident didn't actually occur and this communication will expire in 24 hours.

Feels more like a capacity issue to me, too many people using it and not enough resources.

Azure issues might be a red herring?

EDIT: Bit more testing and a tracert of the web server is responding fast, but the backend database seems to be having latency issues.

If it genuinely is an Azure issue..... maybe Bromcom should consider moving to AWS, because it's going to start costing you customers...... and it it's not a Azure issue and is a Bromcom scaling issue, if you can't resolve it....it's going to start costing you customers........

The problem is, it is so predictable.

API appears to still be dead, so that is less than great.

Fast this morning, but damn an entire day of downtime yesterday. That's just not acceptable.

They really need to look at capacity and redundancy planning.

Splitting services or server locations would seem like an obvious first step.

The monolith isn't always the best model these days!!

Glad we're not the only ones with a dead API - Was checking this morning on some of our internal apps we use for cover/signing in and none of it was working.
