Just wondered what people's current experience is with RMM solutions?

I've been using Datto RMM since it was Centrastage and a small British Company, but pricing seems a little inflated now and everything seems a bit of a struggle since the Kaseya Acquisition.

I figured now was the time to look elsewhere.

Has anyone used NinjaRMM or ManageEngine and can report positives or negatives?

Failing that, what are you currently using as a general RMM for monitoring, software deployment and remote control and how are you finding it?

I've been using NinjaRMM for a year, and it's been great overall. The interface is intuitive, and their support is responsive. However, the alerts can be too sensitive at times.

Action1 for us. Free for 100 endpoints, decent edu discount available. Support is top notch

We use it in conjunction with Intune to manage all our cloud endpoints.

It just works :)

Very interesting to hear there's an appetite for an RMM solution in education. I've always thought they were really expensive so never really looked into it.

We are however doing a number of various tasks on the cheap (free) which ultimately isn't a best use of anybodys time if things could be automated.

I'll take a look at some of the suggestions.

No, Ninja is a management tool with remote access, monitoring and although does have limited app deployment capabilities its not its core function.

PDQ Cloud is pretty good for OTA deployments and some locking down options, but really you need a MDM solution for the bigger stuff.

Can Ninja perform as an actual MDM for windows? e.g locking devices down (similar to intune etc)

Thanks.

Interested to hear people's views on what works for them. Moving more and more devices to the cloud removes the ability to perform certain tasks the "traditional" way. Combined with tighter controls around cyber security, including patching of not only the OS but third-party software. Cost is always a factor and has always prevented anything like this in the past however, the requirement for tools like this is ever increasing! I've been researching several so welcome any positives and negatives.

How much are people paying for NinjaRMM? On the verge of going ahead with it but just curious.

Also interested in finding this out.

I applied for a demo a couple of weeks ago, and a representative spoke to me. It seemed promising at first, but then they said they couldn't continue with giving me the trial because I needed to provide our budget figures and an exact purchase date. This slightly put me off.

Would still like to know the pricing though.

Fortunately not had that, the pricing I have is 1.52 per month per device but 6months free if you commit to a year.
