Smoothwall cloud filter ad blocking stopping Youtube going full screen

Has anyone else seen this?

 

This appears to have started happening today. Using Smoothwall cloud filter with an advert blocking policy in place I now can't make a YouTube video play full screen - the screen just goes black. If I use incognito mode where the extension is disabled adverts play and I can go full screen.

 

Using the local box instead of the cloud filter with the same policies in place adverts are blocked and YouTube plays full screen video.

Nah, it's already a high priority fix - I'll let you know what the craic is ASAP

We've identified a fix and there will be a hotfix of the chrome extension out within a few days

It will update automatically. Once the fix is done, it will be released. Hopefully within a few days.

I updated to Leeds 72 overnight if that makes any difference.

Next few days - it is fixed, but the release is queued behind the 2.3.0 release, as the fix just missed the window for that, so expect 2.30. probably this week, and 2.3.1 next

Yes we have a ticket raised with SW regarding the issue of the AD blocker, my colleague has been dealing with it for a few weeks but we have yet to find a solution

Hi, is this broken again, ads in our school are no longer being blocked, I believe was all working fine before Egde had an update, anyone else got YouTube ads appearing?

 

I've triple checked all the content modification stuff.

Ad blocking in youtube is becoming impossible we think - obviously google dont want us to do this
