Either:

half a car reversing into a lamppost;

someone doing a handstand off a diving board;

a weasel sitting on a toilet.

All too tame. The description I was given when first pointed out to me was way more sordid, particularly given it was in Saudi.

By the way, those squiggles/wall/people/unicycles are all letters. أجرة <- Not sure if that will render for all.

If it was anything like my last one, most corridors didn't have signs and there were about 6 computer suites. 3 was removed meaning the number for ALL of the ones above changed which just made it confusing.

My last place of work had no Room 13, various room numbers between 28 and 66 were missing (for some reason?) and room numbers were "organised" in an apparently semi-random fashion, while some rooms had names rather than numbers.

It took me a while to get used to when I first arrived.

When - a long time ago - I was a teacher in secondary school, we were always reminded to keep an eye on the corridor for the first few weeks of September

We often found lost Year 7's wandering and looking worried/scared/panicky/crying

The main confusing factor was stairs - none of the feeder Primary school had multiple floors

and - naturally - the oldest block (where I was) was numbered in a perfectly sensible manner - as long as you knew what ever room was called and where it was

My room was called "Computer Room 1" - which gives very little in the way of clues

The sign on the door said CR

The Science labs were not much more helpful!

New Staff had the same problem. In fact I had the same problem for the first few years as I normally just stayed in my room, the HODs room and the staff room!!!

Oh - and some blocks also included large cupboards, toilets, and storage room in the numbering system - but didn't label them

All in all the whole system couldn't have been better designed to confuse new people - whether kids or adults!

I get confused at one of my schools. Most classes just have their name on the door, not the year or teacher's name; e.g. Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw etc. I generally have to go to the office to ask which room my presence is required in.

Whenever I have had a new member of staff starting in a school I always try to get a map for them

ALl schools have them for Year 7s - but they never think to give them to new Staff

When I have started in school I always have to go to reception myself and ask for one - which normally causes immediate confusion!

and then a sudden realisation that it is not such a bad idea!!

especially for an IT Tech who could be called to any and every room.

"pride flag"

:whistle: best room number design is where it has coloured corridors such as BL and 1,2,3 for the floor level followed by room number. Then you get something like BL1.23 which makes sense :)

No pic, but the electrician's van I saw this morning had a slogan of "shockingly good at what we do" (amazingly, not "watt we do"). Yep, nice pun, but when you think about it would you want to hire an electrician whose work will shock you?

As the dog is in front of the red line - does this mean that dogs ARE allowed

"Dogs are allowed, except service dogs" maybe?

Did you have any particular fiend in mind? I do hope you’re not referring to certain mods…
