Easily explained

It's from Portsmouth

and Portsmouth is by the sea

 

being by the sea inevitably leads to people fishing

 

and fishermen are well know for getting measurements wrong

 

(and I have heard that sailors do as well - in certain circumstances!)

 

 

(yes I know it is Portsmouth USA and i have no idea if that is by the sea - but why introduce accuracy and fact when it is more amusing to ignore them!)

Not strictly relevant

 

but yesterday there was - for a while - a Headline in The Sun that I objected to - even more than usual

 

anyway - no politics and all that - but I went onto the independent complaints organisation website and registered a formal complaint

 

 

 

OK OK OK - here comes the relevant bit

 

I got a confirmation email which started with

 

 

Thank you for your complaint.

 

which sounds kinda wrong

I don't get it?

 

They forgot to add an "n" to make it "Fun" or (bearing in mind it's targeted at kids) they sent an inappropriate "FU" message on the cover.
