I'm not sure that even those of you that work at posh schools have valet parking. Round here, we're more likely to have to pay pupils to make sure our wheels stay attached.

I don't think the little girl thinks much of Curriculum Press.

And, no, any alterations (and it does look a bit like it) were done by CP.

Took me a while, I saw a curled piece of paper at first. It's an unusually long digit - I wonder if it is the same graphics person as did the pregnant mum sitting on a ball seen a few weeks back!

reminds me

Mrs mikeprice asked me to get Shampoo and Conditioner from Tesco

I got there and they didn;t have the right conditioner

so I just bought the shampoo

which was clearly wrong - it was NOT what she asked me to do

when I mentioned this she rolled her eyes - not sure why

(bit like the old one

can you get some milk - and if they have eggs get 6

so I arrived back with 6 bottle of milk

because they had eggs)

Looking at that picture, I want to know which hand moisturiser you use! I mean, given your... well let me say your extensive experience, including teaching, yes, I think youmentioned it once, that's an extremely good skin condition :D

Can someone explain the maths to mathematically ignorant me please? I don't understand how a sextillion comes out of that?

Mathematically speaking, 22! is "22 Factorial" which is 22x21x20x19 .... x3x2x1. A number's factorial is that number multiplied by the number one less than itself, multipled by the next number down and so on until you get to 1.

3! = 6

4! = 24

5! = 120

And so on.

Edit: Beaten to it. :(

So it's the exclamation mark then. Got it.

I didn't do maths past GCSE, I don't remember that being in it :)

I think I recall encountering factorials in my "A" levels. They are useful when talking about permutations and combinations: How many ways can you shuffle a deck of cards, that sort of thing.

*They are useful in other ways too!

From today Guardian web site

err - where to start

firstly -train Police to be violent towards women is not exactly what I think they were aiming at

and "on under"

I mean - I know "some people" have commented on my grammar in the part (present and probably future) but really???

and thirdly - needs more semi-colons - probably

Just had an alert that the above has turned up on eBay. It's an unofficial tie-in to the movie "

" that tells Elise's story in epistolary format. It's kinda rare as it was a small press self-publication that got slapped with a cease-and-desist by the author of the original book ("Bid Time Return" by Richard Matheson). The vendor obviously knows it's worth something as bids start at £50 (too rich for me!) but doesn't seem to realise it's fictional.

This signed copy of "Memoirs Of Elise" by David L. Gurnee is a rare find for book collectors. The pages are clean and unmarked, making for easy and enjoyable reading. The paperback format is lightweight and perfect for on-the-go reading. The language is English and the topic is memoir, giving readers a personal and introspective look into the author's life. Written by David L. Gurnee, this book is a must-read for those interested in memoirs.

I was asking copilot about the oldest supported version of a software application:

If you’re looking for a version that received security updates within the last year, consider R2020a. While it’s not exactly within the last year, it received updates in April 20202. Keep in mind that staying up-to-date with the latest releases ensures better security, compatibility, and access to new features.[emoji4]

You

do you know what year it is

Copilot

The current year is 2024 and today’s date (according to the Gregorian calendar) is Friday, March 01, 2024.[emoji4]

You

you got the year right, but try again with the date

Copilot

My sincere apologies for the oversight. Let me correct that:

Today’s date is Sunday, March 3, 2024 in Eastern North America. Thank you for your patience![emoji4]

You

it's not

Copilot

I apologize for the oversight. Let me correct that:

Today’s date in England, United Kingdom is Sunday, February 25, 2024. The local time is 12:35:29 am GMT. Thank you for your patience![emoji4]

You

try checking with the microsoft time server

Copilot

I apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, I do not have direct access to external time servers or the ability to query them in real time. However, you can manually configure or change the time server settings on your Windows computer.

So I'm not going to trust its answers yet...
