Our view is not quite the same as the island of Sodor :p

We do have a Window, but it is frosted glass so I can't see a great deal.

Sadly the windows in our server room are at ceiling height :( No good for ventilation or seeing the outside world.

If I could see out through the windows, I'd have a lovely view of, Goodwick Moor and Fishguard Bay. (If you picky, the ferry terminal & Hotel too :p)

I feel rather bad for bringing this topic up. I have a view of fields then the Irish sea (we are an Island off the South Coast of Cumbria)

We have a view over fields and hills - also in Cumbria.

@KWestos - you may have a nice view but it is still Walney! ;)

No windows in our server room but generally a pleasant country view, often including some rabbits or other wildlife, outside of our office window.

Windows in Server Roon.

That asumes that the server has a room rather than niche behind the photocopier in a cubby hole at the top of the stairs. No view here, but it's handy for the photocopier! :D

My "office", aka "The Cupboard", has a view of a local rat-run road.

I have just finished working in Kendal (after 8 years) all I had to look at was a wall, glad to be out of Kendal. I dont know what you think but having been there for the last 8 years - its going down hill, nearly as chavvy as Barrow!

Our server room / our office has some windows covered by both vertical and horizontal black bars, which I can only see if I get up, turn around and walk 20 paces to the other side of the room.

then I get a lovely view of the manky old half-dilapidated huts, the KS2 playground and a bin.

Lovely.

You have a window in your server rooms....... wow, if only maybe it would be a bit lighter in there

Oh don't worry - I'm sure BSF will take care of not having server rooms, let alone windows :D

lol, I'm a 20 year old Network Administrator in a server room in a high school overlooking the main hallways of the school, and the first day one of the students came in and asked if I was a new student here. Another student went to the office on the first day cause they needed help with a login password, and they got sent here, didn't come in but I saw her looking through my window and then went back to the office, and later I found out that she had asked the office where I was, they told her to go down here, and she went back and said "network admin guy wasnt there, it was just some boy", to which they replied "that's the network admin".

Our 1st floor server room / office is the ex-boy's toilets in the science block. We have windows that look out over the playground and the rooftops of the rest of the school. Pretty boring really but handy for lobbing water bombs out of on to the kids below ;-)
