snagrat Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Everything seems blocked and cannot get onto the webadmin
caffrey Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Yep it is, very annoying - the kids were in the middle of an online test This is my first week in using it too
sippo Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Yep. We have had nothing but issues with Netsweeper over the last 3 months since moving from Lightspeed. We've been a customer with SBB for approx 8 years, and I hate to say it but the sooner we move the better. This is the biggest issue in those 8 years, but the support has been diabolical. Rant over.
snagrat Posted September 25, 2019 Author Posted September 25, 2019 I’m back into the webadmin but lots of Database Errors showing in the logs
caffrey Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Same here, running slow too but then again it always runs slow (the interface)
DalekSec Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Same here, went down for an hour just came back up!
andy_b Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Same here, running slow too but then again it always runs slow (the interface) This! And the "Request Log Files" pages always times out / connection errors.....
caffrey Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Yep ,5 seconds between clicks at least (Did I actually press that ?) Usually starts on the afternoon
SchoolsBroadband Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Hi all, we're very sorry for the issue this morning. We're working with Netsweeper (which is where the issue was) to ascertain how this happened as it's not done before. This is our first major issue in 2 years since we've installed it which is very frustrating. We will send through an outage report as normal. Ref the webadmins and them running slow; we are aware of some issues at the moment and already have some new hardware ordered and ready to be installed soon which should see a marked improvement in response times. Please watch this space. Thanks Dave
andy_b Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Their was a similar "Datgabase error" on 28/06/2019.
caffrey Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Yep that's what the engineer told me, that it had happened before
SchoolsBroadband Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Nope what happened today was definitely very different from some of the stats and things we've initially seen. I suspect that was an adhoc thought with someone speaking out loud. We'll let you know in our report what happened as soon as its ready and we've done a full root cause analysis. Thanks Dave
ITGURU Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 Glad we moved away from Netsweeper when the LEA stopped providing filtering services. It was a disaster, always having squid issues, and is based in Canada.
mrwoberts Posted September 25, 2019 Posted September 25, 2019 @SchoolsBroadband We are scheduled to migrate to the Netsweeper service on Friday, however, since we're ending our contract with you (ends in Jan), do we really have to migrate over for this short period?
snagrat Posted September 30, 2019 Author Posted September 30, 2019 Is this down again? Multiple customers cannot browse the internet
stevo1565 Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Yep down for me as well the service needs improving David @SchoolsBroadband this is on going for us 70% of support requests are because of your company !!!!
SchoolsBroadband Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 Morning all. We've a small subset of customers affected. The vast majority aren't. NOC are working on it. I'm away from the office today so csnt give detailed information until later which I will do as soon as I have it. Thank you for your patience for those affected. Dave
SchoolsBroadband Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 The affected customers should be back up and running now. If not please call the help desk. Ok so we had a partial outage on some specific netsweeper clusters which may have been caused by a software upgrade / configuration change over the weekend. We've pulled some servers from our load balancer cluster as a precaution and will re add them once we've found where the issue 100% is. Thanks for your patience Dave
PrimaryNetMan Posted September 30, 2019 Posted September 30, 2019 @SchoolsBroadband We are scheduled to migrate to the Netsweeper service on Friday, however, since we're ending our contract with you (ends in Jan), do we really have to migrate over for this short period? In a similar position with under 6 months left to run so would be interested to hear an answer to this too. Having 1 site migrating this week and the number of Schools Broadband posts lately don't fill me with confidence.
snagrat Posted October 1, 2019 Author Posted October 1, 2019 Is webadmin down for anyone today? Filter is fine but cannot get in to make policy changes
DalekSec Posted October 1, 2019 Posted October 1, 2019 We're having issues with the RADIUS accounting this morning.....
