I saw a Colliflower Wellington in the shops the other day.

 

I'm sorry but if someone served me that I'd be sending it right back and the chef would need a good slap. It is Beef Wellington for a reason.

 

We're having veggie wellington - with mushroom and halloumi goodness - it's lovely, honest!

Oh ye gods Yes!

 

I have no idea if it counts as officially "traditional Christmas dinner" but that's how mum and dad served Christmas dinner to me when I was a wee bairn, and it's how Mrs Roberto's family always served it to her when she was little and it's what we have now, so that's traditional enough for me.

Mine had mashed up roast potatoes, sprouts, cabbage, chipolatas, cauliflower, stuffing,turkey, carrots and a pint of gray, does that qualify?I'm drooling already...

We always have croissants on Christmas morning (after opening presents, of course) and then, at lunch, the traditional turkey and gammon joint with as many trimmings as we can physically place on the table. Yorkshire puddings are a must, although my family tend to have them with every roast dinner. I love a generous helping of broccoli with mine, too!

It's my first year as a vegan (previously a vegetarian) so I've got a Tofurky rather than making something myself - next year I'll probably be more adventurous and cook the centre-piece myself.
