kennysarmy Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I've just signed up for a 30 day trial of Amazon Prime with a view to keeping it for the Amazon Photos if I can work out how it works. Any Amazon Prime guru's out there care to explain to me what other great features come with Amazon Prime? I've also got two daughters still living at home - are there benefits for me being a member for them too?

Its not always next day delivery even when they state it is. Prime video is good, lot of good tv shows but is a bit lacking compared to Netflix.
Dos_Box Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Try working out what you spent on postage on Amazon purchases over the past 12 months then offset that to the cost of Prime membership. In my case (especially after Black Friday (week)) it more than pays for itself, AND you get the movies, music and storage on top of that!

MkII Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I took out a months free trial last Christmas, just for the free delivery... that it is also so quick was a bonus. Plus if you buy from Amazon direct you have their backing.

The biggest thing I don’t like about household is you have to share your payment methods with each other. Not that I don’t trust them, it just cuts down on human error. Amazon is always pushing the buy it now button and such. Currently if my parents need something in a rush I log into my amazon for them. They have now added their card to my account. The last time they bought something the payment screen didn’t show up the same way. It was billed to my card, we were able to change it right away though. If I could share my prime with them without sharing payment info, that would be great. If your school has amazon for business, you can share the shipping benefits with your work account. Also prime reading.

MatthewL Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 I got mine initially for the TV to watch top gear and forgot to cancel the free subscription, now make most of my purchases on there with the delivery options that are available far suite me. Literally just ordered £80's worth off there in the sale.

Ideal for those new games that have just come out and peer pressured into buying by the other lads/lady's in the office. https://primenow.amazon.co.uk/ NB watch out for the default £2 tip.
