That's right bing or other search engines are working as expected. On the iPad's that are being affected for us i've changed the default search engine to bing for now while trying to get it resolved.

Think i'll log a call too then in the hope that it highlights a wider issue and gets looked at quickly.

Is there anyone else experiencing issues where since updating to iOS 26.5.2 Google services are in accessible on a SBB connections? We've done plenty of testing and the device is fine on unfiltered connections and also many other iPads are fine on other iOS versions. Does this feature actually work on Lightspeed? I've set a new layout at organisational level and trying to apply it to a group i have set up, students, It's just not applying at all. TIA

If so, I’d be interested to know how it’s structured and where it’s stored (web based/printed etc)

Was this the article on Papercut you found? @Simcfc73 We're in a situation where authentication for staff isn't smooth in the way we'd hope. They have to re authenticate each time they log on which in Edu we can all appreciate the amount of moans we'd get back as an inconvenience... we haven't scripted anything as yet, we are on Entra and setup SSO though.

Can see it being a replacement for the iPad roll outs within schools, much more aligned to being a better overall student device with build quality to match. It would be interesting to know more about the management of these devices with whatever MDM you have. Might have to get one in for testing......

To update this thread, SBB managed to find the issues and have resolved them. It was caused by packet duplication. Many thanks to them for sorting the issues out. It took longer than i'd hoped after escalation to a more senior engineer who identified the problem and resolved it.

Calls are so poor in quality on the main line, that we have the school using their fail over line which works fine. As of today calls made by the school are the issue. Incoming and internal calls are fine.

Firewall is with the ISP. We've ran a diagnostic check both on the fail over and main line using Xelions software. All that it showing is an issue with the Jitter connection. Some further changes have been made and ready to test.

Morning, I have an ongoing issue that is causing many frustrations and wonder if anyone can offer any advice after going back and forward to SBB? We have SBB as our ISP and a Xelion VOIP system. Fail over line (80/20) VOIP works fine, yet on the main leased line (sky 1gig) we have an unusable phone system. We also have the same setup at another school and all is fine there, yet SBB can't get to the bottom as to why there are issues on the leased line at the other site. TIA

Further to adding to the thread a little while back these issues have us pulling our hair out with no consistency and it simply not making sense. We have one Promethean panel that just won't stay on consistency for the poor class teacher. We've swapped cables, PC's, rebuilds all on various devices. I had a community alert off Promethean which sparked my curiosity to check their forums and low and behold found this thread So there is a known issue which Intel and MS are working on right?

Is there any stipulations either by the DFE or others that require the head offices to have school level filtering in place for their broadband connection? TIA

Are others also experiencing these issues? We've bought in a number of refurb units and moved to Win 11 and have put these kind of issues down to the new units aren't able to output to an IWB consistently after many hours of troubleshooting. What steps have you taken to get to a resolution? New cables (HDMI) Adjusting refresh rates?

Has anyone experienced any issues with HP ProDesk 400 G7 SFF attached to Interactive Boards? In simple terms can these devices cope with multiple displays? There is also an issue where Edge freezes when playing back videos. Graphics drivers etc are all up to date...

Received a FOIA request from the recepient and having a search can see that it's a common ploy by the individual. Also sent to Bright Futures Trust https://www.bright-futures.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2025/07/FOIMFreeboroughJuly25.pdf I'm uncomfortable with replying as some of the questions are sensitive to how we work and don't want to be forthcoming with that information to what looks like a sales call. Surely we don't have to give them contract values and all that? There is absolutely no way i'd use this company for any quotes/work with the way they go about their business!

What do others do in regards to satisfying the need to gain consent from Parents for the use of services like Canva etc? Have you added it to existing consent forms for example the video and photo consent or some other way for example in acceptable use policies?

Thanks both, like with most of us I'm guessing we could do with knowing sooner rather than later because most of the work will be done during school holidays and we could do with planning what we can get done. With Easter around the corner I was hoping that we can put some things in place and looks like it'll be a case of upgrading the devices that are compatible for now. I'd rather replace if at all possible, but schools are very non committal at the moment even though the upcoming issues have been raised with them.

Morning all, I'm aware of the bits of information MS have released like the $1 per device cost to extend the support and with some of our schools really struggling financially to cost up a complete refresh either refurbed or new, i'm wondering if anyone has any further information about how and where we can sign up to get it extended? I've tried our reseller but not really hearing anything back and I'm guessing that it might be a bit early to have the details because MS are probably hoping most refresh their devices rather than go down this route. Anyone know of any information? Thanks
