stevejp Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 Actual location unknown (Guessing America?) Can’t imagine why you would guess that...

Norphy Posted June 9, 2020 Posted June 9, 2020 Am I the only one who finds this billboard vaguely disturbing? 1
Norphy Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 Apparently, in 5g of sugar, there is 4.7g of sugar 2
mikeprice Posted June 10, 2020 Posted June 10, 2020 OK - now I had to look up what is Brown Sugar made up of from Wikipedia - it is made from sugar with added molasses One hundred grams of brown sugar contains 377 Calories (nutrition table), as opposed to 387 Calories in white sugar (link to nutrition table). However, brown sugar packs more densely than white sugar due to the smaller crystal size and may have more calories when measured by volume. Any minerals present in brown sugar come from the molasses added to the white sugar. In a 100-gram reference amount, brown sugar contains 15% of the Daily Value for iron, with no other vitamins or minerals in significant content (table). so the other 5% must be made up from the minerals and other non-sugar stuff from the molasses or possibly brown dye and other stuff they add 3
6Foot2 Posted June 18, 2020 Author Posted June 18, 2020 It's too expensive to shop here. Apparently it could cost an arm or a leg! 3

StevieM Posted July 3, 2020 Posted July 3, 2020 The URL for our sign-in software always has me doing a double take: https://ereceptionbook.com I've been uploading work to our website and, even after 3 months, I still struggle with a list of URLs containing repeated occurrences of 'maths-mrsbarton'. 4
mikeprice Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 Sounds painful! I don;t care how worthy the charity is - I ain't doin' that (or any waxing for that matter - unnatural if you ask me - nature decided what hair I should and shouldn't have and I'll leave it at that!!!) 2
3s-gtech Posted July 5, 2020 Posted July 5, 2020 I don;t care how worthy the charity is - I ain't doin' that (or any waxing for that matter - unnatural if you ask me - nature decided what hair I should and shouldn't have and I'll leave it at that!!!) Nature changes its mind though, and creates bald heads and hairy backs as we get old, where hair previously happily resided (and didn’t). Therefore, I think we can safely ignore its whims. Not that I want to be waxed on any part of my body.
StevieM Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 NaN = Not a Number No, it's rice pudding like your grandma used to make. 1
mikeprice Posted July 10, 2020 Posted July 10, 2020 No, it's rice pudding like your grandma used to make. My Gran wasn't that brilliant a cook if you want proper rice pudding you wanted my Mum's pity she was rubbish at showing people how she cooked things - used lots of phrases like' until it looks right' and 'about so much' then put some more in when I wasn't watching - or able to see how much so all her recipe's died with her so I just make stuff up as I go along until it looks right - whatever that means
6Foot2 Posted July 27, 2020 Author Posted July 27, 2020 This arrived in my E-Mail today: Couldn't (m)ask for better. Bargain! 2
6Foot2 Posted July 30, 2020 Author Posted July 30, 2020 The image in the tailgate advert doesn't show what you might initially think... 4
