Another Nextbase fan here.... having had the usual ebay knock off jobs it finally died one hot day so decided it was time to upgrade to a Nextbase...

Attached some footage the camera took one evening recently. The cam is a Nextbase 312GW.

I will be honest the wireless function to my mobile has been rubbish recently(One plus 3) I have yet to try it with my Samsung S8+.

Nextbase here too. Halfords will fit it for £30, hardwired into the fusebox. Considering they sell the wiring kit used for £20 that's a no brainer - especially as it involves routing the cable through the trim on the pillars which contain airbags, I'd rather let somebody who knows what they are doing (or Halfords) screw that one up rather than me do it.

Dont go for E-Prance. They are shocking quality, ordered two different models for myself and my mum. They both need to be factory reset quite often and do not always record video.

Mine are E-Prance and are decent quality especially for the price. Never had any issues with them for the last 3 years I've had them installed?

Do you think the Nextbase kit would work with a Mobius camera? I don't see why it wouldn't, it's just the fusebox connections and a mini USB cable.

I hooked my onto the rear wiper fuse. This isn't always live, and is only live once the ignition is on.

Thanks for the tip there, I will check that out on mine and see if it works for me!

Not at all. The girl in the little white car was fuming and rightly so... She posted all over the local facebook to complain. Luckily I had caught it on camera and was able to pass on the video to her.

Another Nextbase user here, been faultless and quality is excellent.

One niggle though the supplied mounts failed to provide me with a compact solution, the camera and suction mount looked horrible in the tiny windscreen of the Smart4two!

One email to Nextbase support and the very next day I had a choice of three new windscreen mounts to choose from!

Excellent service [emoji3]

I have a Nextbase 212 in my SmartForTwo - using the hardwired power mount. Interested to know what mount options they gave you?

Nextbase 402G - awesome video quality (sound quality also nothing to complain about!).

To avoid losing the last segment being recorded, just make sure you turn it off, rather than switching the power off. (if this happens to you)

Highly tempted to get the 512GW for my birthday - 1440p quality :)

I got a Jiffy bag with a low profile suction mount, another that had a sticky pad and a 3rd that wasn't much shorter than the original.

A polite email was all it took.

The Viofo A119 is a great general cam for about £70. Ticks a lot of boxes.

The Yi and Yi Ultra are fantastic value and quality.

Techmoan on Youtube has some good reviews.

Funnily enough I have been investigating this recently. The A119v2 looks to be good to me, you can buy a GPS module for a tenner. I'm just holding out until June when the A129 is coming out, which is dual camera. I'll take a look at how good that is and then make the decision between that and the A119. From everything I have read up the A119 is about the best camera you can get, though it may not have all the features others do.

The BlueSkySea B1W seems to get good reviews as well, the only fault I can find is that turning it on can also knock it out of the mount!

I had a NextBase 212 but went off it for a few reasons. Had initially researched and looked at the Mobius. There are some good reviews, have a look at Techmoan - Techmoan

Windscreen Mount was too bulky and did not stick to the windscreen

The powered mag mount failed in less than a year.

I had my camera placed behind the Rear View mirror so could not see the screen, didn't notice it had not been recording for 2 months due to card been full.

I've now got a BlackVue, wasn't cheap but I spent a fair amount of time researching again. No screen but the App is OK and the lenses are pretty wide so not hard to estimate the view.

I had the Yi but it couldn't capture the whole view/ I couldn't avoid the rain sensor housing in the shot... It's really an action cam so impossible to get close the the glass... So I switched to the A119 which has been great. Only thing I miss about the Yi is the WiFi connect to grab video conveniently.
