[BBC News] Sky signals the end of the satellite dish
Sheepy replied to newpersn's topic in General Chat
It's clearly not a one size fits all situation. Sky are looking to mop up the parts of the country where a dish on the side of the building is an issue. personally I would love to have the opportunity to have Sky sports in my home for a reasonable cost. I would like to think this is Sky moving from the expensive sat in the sky way of doing things to streaming to reduce the overall cost of having Sky. Will it work out this way? hell no. But a guy can dream. -
Buy PSN credit off CDKeys using the 5% faecbook code and then top up your PSN... then buy the PSN+ off the store on the PS4
-
This does in fact work. Or it does on the PS4 im not sure about the Xbox... I have two consoles.. one for the wife and one for me hers is set as the primary PS4 and mine is just me logged in. So I buy games on her ps4 and she can play on her account and then I sign in on my account and I can play the same game too

Right so recently I've decided that my domain name should grow up a little... The website is nothing fancy but it does get used for my emails and my current one is no good. What sort of domain names do others have? I have a very common last name of Williams so as such am struggling for inspiration Any ideas?

Not at all. The girl in the little white car was fuming and rightly so... She posted all over the local facebook to complain. Luckily I had caught it on camera and was able to pass on the video to her.

Another Nextbase fan here.... having had the usual ebay knock off jobs it finally died one hot day so decided it was time to upgrade to a Nextbase... Attached some footage the camera took one evening recently. The cam is a Nextbase 312GW. I will be honest the wireless function to my mobile has been rubbish recently(One plus 3) I have yet to try it with my Samsung S8+.

Having had the Samsung Note 3 and Note 4 then selling my note 4 ready for the Note7 and that whole fiasco happened. I then decided to opt for a one plus 3 from O2 and I can honestly say I have 0 regrets. The battery is not the best but far from the worst. It charges in mins up to a standard that would last for hours. And best of all its fast all the time.. with the Ram it has I can now happily run custom launchers instead of the standard ones.. something I could never do with the notes as I felt it affected how fast the phone ran

Do you have the front view from the episode? Maybe the truck driver was anticipating that you where going to move off quicker when he comes right up behind you? If he felt you had some clear space in front of you? as after that you seem to make good ground pretty quickly? He is obviously having to keep his truck moving as its very difficult to move off on a hill? Without seeing the front on view I don't think anyone can make a fair judgment on the truck driver tbh.

Keep catching the pidgeys to boost your xp to keep leveling up to take on the gyms? I did fall a little flat with the game towards the middle of last week but having tried again I've now worked out the importance of a pidgeys lol

You're not wrong about the playerbase dropping off slightly but that happens with everything... I have been totally surpirsed by the amount of players just out and about but also with my FB friends... It seems to be the current playerbase is just Pokemon old school nerds loving it and jumping on the ship, None of the current players as far as I have seen are younger people... I think as the game will launch on the UK store its going to grow and grow.. Hopefully it will hold out then

Been playing since Friday I would have been on Thursday but I totally messed up my name on the game and couldnt cope so had to wait to sign up once the Pokemon servers would allow.. Have been enjoying all weekend and the Mrs has joined in the game too which is fun Cardiff was rammed with Pokestops and we must have seen around 30 to 50 other people playing

Id say its a must. But again I sit in the high usage bracket. I would avoid GiffGaff and the likes as someone has already pointed out the traffic speed is fair to crap and O2 struggle nowadays anyway.

Like I said maybe its the combination of the software being used. But I find the app just fails every now and again. When I get back into IT a little more ill have a little time to play with it... recently been side lined for a year into another role and I should be moving back some time soon. Hopefully.

Any update on how its gone for you? I find Xibo to be very frustrating piece of software... or maybe its the combination of Windows 8/10 or the machines im using... What are you using for the devices behind the screens?
-
Thanks for that. Seems there is no real cheap way of doing it really? Im not sure all schools are the same but in my experience children can get bored of apps very quickly.. So we would spend hundreds buying an app that a couple of weeks later would no longer be used? Scary times...

I cannot seem to work out how this application works.... Does this offer the solution of being able to buy one app and use that same app on 500iPads if they are all using the same Apple ID or do you have to buy multiple licences for each and every iPad?

I fear the brand damage is already done. And you can see the result of that with the WiiU. The amount of times I hear it from parents when their child asks if they can have the WiiU and mum and dad either reply with we are not buying that addon or even reply with why would we buy that we already have a Wii we don't use. So I think Nintendo have a massive massive mountain to climb to change public opinion on the brand. And same goes with the developers and publishers, damage is done and it will take a hell of a lot of money and public opinion to change the path that Nintendo unfortunately find themselves in.
-
By losing money I mean going from the peak of selling tens of millions of Wii's to selling about 10million Wii U's... I feel the damage is already done to Nintendo from a hardware side of things because everyone will now associate Nintendo with the Wii... a console they bought to play tennis with a couple of times and then never fired it up again. The amount of people I have also had to tell that the WiiU isn't just an addon for the Wii and is in fact a brand new console. Just because your console sells for more than it costs doesn't mean its ok not to sell any extra games for those consoles. Nintendo are kidding themselves if they think they can hack it in the console world these days unfortunately, retailers have lost faith in the brand and have stripped their consoles and games from stores. (Asda/Sainsburys/Tesco) Ok Game still has them in store but for how long? Developers have all but given up hope on the WiiU. If EA cannot be bothered to port Fifa to the WiiU then your looking at serious failings imo. (not that im rating Fifa as one of the greatest games. But your kidding yourself if you think others might not see it as a system seller)

I wouldn't mind some sort of hardware addon that would give my phone buttons I do seriously wonder how Nintendo have managed to survive so long with losing so much money? Crazy crazy times. It does say something that the Wii had a massive install base of hardware but software sales where dismal. And I would suggest that its Nintendos constant push to be different that actually hampers any progress they could make. Also the online side of the Nintendo world is just naff, why do I need a friend code that is 18billion random characters just to add a friend? yet I can't even have voice chat or anything.

Your welcome to pass the code on to me if you want

Would you be happy to share those PHP files?
