I liked it. The other 2 parts teleported back to the first. Dr Who has no continuity, which is good, see how stupid Star Trek gets when it tries to pretend it was all planned over 700 episodes.

Interesting call back to The Doctor making her sonic screwdriver with the Dalek building its casing. I did expect Aaron to sacrifice himself, so interesting that they didn't go the obvious way.

The whole dyspraxia thing is odd though, doesn't seem to affect him at all.

Was nearly a good episode, started well then fell off a cliff. This series is just too childish, too childish even for my 11 year old child.

I remember saying that a while ago. Specifically, that it felt as though the developmental level being targeted by this series had been reduced from about 12 to about 9.

Nice, not brilliant but in the right direction.

Liked the scarp yard Dalek. How come axe wielding dark age warriors can defeat it but modern troops fail?

You shoot a rider off his horse who is clearly holding a package but fail to inspect said package or take it to look at later?

Drop the 'Fam' 'Gang' 'Team' bollocks and loose at least one if not two companions next season.

Don't give Jodie too many stunts to do she hasn't got the moves.

Based on the opening narration they just threw a lot of people at the Dalek. If there's enough people coming at it from all directions, one Dalek is going to get overwhelmed eventually. TBH it was an interesting enough setup I was willing to give that a pass.

I agree with the rider. Not only didn't the bandits take the bag, but the body (out in the open) remained undisturbed for the hundreds of years it took to become buried.

Overall, the episode was alright and the "junkyard Dalek" was a cool design (I liked the red light inside the "head").

Unfortunately the "Fam/gang/team" thing is unlikely to go. Chibnal has made a big point about them not being "companions", the actors have reportedly been told not to refer to the companions as "companions" as it doesn't fit with his vision or whatever.

I do agree they need to cut down on the companions. Maybe instead of getting rid of (killing off) anyone they could just make it that she only takes 1 or 2 at a time. Maybe Yas stays at home ill (or has to go do her day-job), or Graham is out on a date that week.

But how are they going to be racially diverse without a fam/gang/team? [emoji57] < /rhetorical question >

They don't have to do they? ;)

Racist! ;)

It would seem they do these days. Look at the dinosaur on the Thames episode which had a ridiculously racially diverse selection of rich Victorians.

Somewhat off topic rant: There seems to be a growing "thing" that actors can only portray people who are pretty much themselves. I've seen complaints that Black British actors shouldn't play Black Americans as they haven't got the same generations of poor race relations behind them as an American might, and Darren Criss has recently announced that he will no longer play gay males as it takes a job from a gay man. I sure hope that Mandip Gill has police training, Tosin Cole actually has dyspraxia and as for Jodie, well she'd better prepare for some major surgery.

So you're saying i can finally get a role as a Dalek? instead of cheap actors in tin pots....

Just boring once again, as mentioned above, how can a dalek take out an entire armed unit including a tank but wonder woman manages to microwave it to death?

It's getting more like scooby doo and his mates than Dr Who.

Quite easily if they have never come face to face with a Dalek before... and running away from it, in it's line of fire wasn't exactly the best tactic... nor coming directly at it, even with a Tank. ;)

Also the Daleks see the Doctor as their primary foe, they want to neutralise her as a priority... which is a weakness as it makes them predictable... very useful to the team, especially as they came up with a plan before hand.

Dalek is good at medium range attacks, bad at short range, always been the case, get close, attach explosives etc.

But there's not one kind of Dalek, there's 100s, this one was made from scrap, so it had good weapons, because they were original, but not a great casing, bullet proof, but not bomb proof, it had to deflect the tank's weapon. It spent more time creating a flight system than awesome shielding

Just got round to watching it. Loved it, and love JW as The Doctor.

I for one got bored of the overarching, mind bending, overly complicated, too clever for its own good plots that have plagued Who of late and glad we are back to some good old entertaining, silly, monster fighting. Long may it continue.

In the scripts of 'Resolution' wherever the word 'Dalek' occurred they used a codeword to keep Dalek led story under wraps, as much as possible.

Kevin the Dalek.

:)

Could have picked a more terrifying name... like Alex. ;)

Ha, I can just imagine some scripts saying Alexander the Great yells EXTERMINATE and fires upon the crowd. ;)

Sooooo

A Dalek commander was named after Alex Ferguson - hence we can deduce that Ferguson was secretly called Alex DalekSec Ferguson

Hence Ferguson was a Dalek

As is normal with Daleks - he would then have secretly replaced all the people at Man Utd with Daleks - or hybrid Daleks/Humans (I mean - be fair - did you ever think David Beckham was normal????)

Hence - Man Utd is really composed of evil genetically modified aliens

FINALLY the whole of Liverpool has the proof that is has known about for many many years

The only fair thing is if Man Utd is immediately demoted to somewhere below Tranmere Rovers

and - we have proof that Man City has been affected by cross contamination - this can be proved as nothing else would have allowed them to go top of the Premiership when CLEARLY only Liverpool should be there

Therefore Man City should be deducted 15 points IMMEDIATELY

FINALLY in all makes sense
