How's everyone doing in the office during this lovely weather? Lucky enough to have air con? Any unusual strategies to keep cool?

Had lovely weather yesterday me and the girlfriend went to watch the rowing in Shrewsbury town. Lovely day out. Today is looking a bit bleak though, as long as it's sunny on the weekend though I don't care ;)

I'm also quite happy about the photo I took, this is it after some editing

Twas beautiful here yesterday, even got a touch burnt. Still very warm today, windows open wide but it's only a small office so needs little encouragement to warm up.

Currently 27 in the office, got the fan on to help cool it down a bit.

Weekend weather was mixed, got soaked in Leicester on Saturday, but had a stunning day yesterday ... this was a pic I took in my car when I got to the park yesterday lunchtime ...

Had a smashing day yesterday. Went down to Bournemouth beach (and so did half of the UK by how crowded it was!) and almost burned.

It's fairly overcast here today though, but annoyingly muggy. Air con ftw!

Air Con? What is this you speak of? We're lucky if we get AC in the Hub Rooms let alone in our office. We've got all the windows open and two fans going, and it's OK at the moment as the Suns not moved round to the south windows yet. It's about 25 in here if the temperature gauge is to be believed.

Any unusual strategies to keep cool?

Being born in a hot country (Australia) is my big secret to keeping cool on a slightly warm day like today :)

I spent yesterday in Brum handing out leaflets for IDFB - it was almost hot in Centenary Square - the other three that I was with, had to keep retreating to the cool of the old Municipal Bank - wimps!

Early start today [5:30] and staying late [we have a public event and the network is playing up, so I am here as cover] I don't expect to leave until at least 6:30. That is going to make for a LONG day in this heat.

Was in Shrewsbury myself on Saturday. Walked over that bridge for a pint (or was it 2) in the Boathouse, got there just before it lashed down with rain. Bridgenorth yesterday then back home in sunny Doncaster for a evening slurp in the garden :eyebrows:

Came into school and the air con was broken again in the server room - I really do need to set up some environmental monitoring in there. Front panel on the server was saying 40c...

Few summers ago (v hot) before I put air con in, mine went to 70 Deg + !!!!! How they survived I don't know.

I think we where lucky to choose the best day to go (Sunday) as I heard there was a bit of rain from others on the Sunday also - Shrewsbury is a lovely town though, it's where I went to college. The boat house looks like a lovely place although it was so rammed when we got there we didn't bother, just sat on the grass with some drinks and ice creams watching the rowers :) I also live in Bridgnorth... isn't what it used to be which is a shame, getting to be a bit "rough" to put it in a snobby way. Saturday night in Bridgnorth has all sorts of problems now!!
