Yup! We've been forcasted for "Heavy snow" on Sunday.

Mind you, last time Heavy Snow was forecast, we ended up with clear skies!

It WOULD be nice to have a day off on Monday cosof it though - especially with it being the last week before half-term here!

Pff! We aren't gonna get any down here. Just some hail. Why do I keep moving to places that never get snow? The Isle of Man, Lancaster, Minehead? They're all snowless wonders.

I think I will move inland next time. *Grumbles to himself*

it's threatening in telford as well, for Friday.

Yippee...not...it'd be yippee if I wasn't driving. Last time, the head stated "we'll stay open, no matter what"...it took me 3 hours to do the 10 minute run home (live in a valley).

Gritting, no. Clearing, no. Abandoned cars everywhere? oh yes.

I don't mind the actual driving..I used to go and see the missus on those days where it was "don't go out unless absolutely necessary" on the radio...abandoned roads and heavy snow makes for fun. :D

It's other drivers..skidding, wheelspinning and sliding all over the shop...so many younger drivers out there have little or no experience of snow driving..I saw so many sliding backwards around roundabouts and playing dodgems...

Snow mode proved it's worth there...no wheelspin for me! Heh. Doesn't help the road to my flat is subsiding badly, and it's like a multi-camber rally course with a sheer drop on one side into the river..

I'd like to see the cats reaction to his first snow though..that could be fun.

We're apparently getting it on friday. In a somewhat handy twist of fate my new alfa with it's ABS and wide tyres is broken at the mo, and I'm relegated to the unstoppable snowmobile that is my Metro 1100 :D

sunday for us here apparently...Monday off would be cool....but I doubt it will snow that badly.

Gonna be bloody chilly for football on saturday though...MAXIMUM of 1 degrees!!

We have been told that if it snows and the Head closes the school Pupils do not have to come in, Teachers stop at home and work (Yeah right) but the Support staff have to come in and do their hours. as I live 20 miles away and travel along country A roads that should be fun!!!

If you can't safely get in then don't even try. There is no point risking accidents just to go to an empty building.
