I'd be too scared of it getting scuffed or something!! If I change my mind though... I'll let you know! Might have to put a box at the side of it 50p a go. Money goes towards building another ;) hahah!

 

Oh we could wrap it very safely, we're good at that. But maybe haviing a charity box next to it would be a good idea ;)

Congrats on your arcade machine Joanne, looks fantastic. I have plans to build one in the future once the rest of my new house is taken care of, along with a virtual pinball machine also. If you ever upgrade it to a real pc I can recommend launchbox, i've just started using it after trying to setup hyperspin and its sooo much easier.

 

I also just recent got a mayflash dolphin bar and with dolphin v5 its amazing and pretty close to near perfect wii emulation from what i've seen so far.

We had one like this come in a few weeks ago for a new motherboard it was all custom made... I had to image it as it had a custom version of XP on it and about a million and 3 games on it. They all looked quite good. Had a built in Juke Box too. The OS was just XP but it had a particular name which I cant remember now.

 

Ill dig out the image.

 

NB: Found it - this is the one it was running.

I setup a Pi the other week with this on http://retropie.org.uk/. Not gone for the full arcade setup, just using a couple of wired Xbox 360 controllers.

 

A little bit of advice for anyone purchasing the Pi kits. The USB cables provided for use with the power adaptor don't seem to be of great quality and prevented the Pi from booting (I just ended up with a flashing red light). Wasted nearly an hour checking and re-writing the image to the SD card before solving the problem with a better cable! :doh:

been there - done that - ripped the t-shirt apart in rage

also works with low power cheap chargers
