  1. is there any group policies that stops powershell scripts from being run?
  2. Might not be this but have you checked the security tab for the folder you're trying to create the zipped file?
  3. If they arent using fms for a while, would it be worth logging out? If they arent using it for a while, and locking their computer, going for dinner etc... then I've seen some network adapters don't wake up properly when users come back which could be effecting it. You could try the power saving options to not turn the screen off when the workstation is locked and see if it keeps the network connection open?
  4. It should be attached, but I created an excel sheet that can run a report without being logged into sims, so it should give you an idea of how to go about it.SIMS Report.zip
  5. Does the add in's tab appear when you log in as an administrator on the workstation?
  6. Thats an odd one, do you get the add ins tab when you go to design a report and edit the template field?
  7. Is the trust settings set to disable all macros?
  8. What version of word are you using?
  9. is it a mail merge report template they are opening? if it is, then the data tags will be under the mailings tab in the insert merge fields
  10. I just went and read your comment, yeah, mines abit more janky than yours lol
  11. You could add a variable to the keypress and then add a check to see if its more than one and if it is dont do anything on the other bit of code?
  12. is there a role of head teacher in the contract? I would also check the tools>staff>pay related section in sims, and check the swc post in the leadership pay scale and make sure that it's set to headteacher
  13. if you have the .rptdef file you can change it to .zip and extract it and it will be in there. Once you've made changes you will need to reattach it to the report in sims.
  14. I found this that might be some help to you https://serverfault.com/questions/395417/microsoft-windows-install-updates-and-restart-instead-of-install-and-shutdown/825152
  15. Yeah I always get confused with the amount of "'s and it gets even better when you're trying to make a batch file from vbs, that creates a text file with special characters
