Domo Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 lol I'd tried to make her naked already but couldn't, she'd always revert back to her original outfit (even if it wasn't in her inventory) it must have been a glitch that resulted in the nakedness. Surely that's the first port of call with any game where you can control outfits? If you put the Over-the-top armour on your companion and don't have the under armour clothes on them, they'll show up in their underwear.
DMcGuigan Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Could be worse. trekking from sort of top-middle of the map to a settlement in the top-leftish.. Pass a small one-room caravan-like thing. Sentry turret takes a bit of an exception to my presence. No issue. Pew pew. Asplode. Job done. CRANK WHIRR BEEP CLUNK ZAPZAP PEW PEW PEW SLOW DEATH MUSIC Some huge deathbot decides to wake up and put a stop to my errant vandalism. I did not survive. Yeah, he's about level 35-40. I had a Legendary Radscorpion and a Legendary Supermutant attack me there, one popped from the ground, the Supermutant was at the hospital behind the trailer. The Sentry bot decided he wanted to join in as soon as I finished the fight and was collecting my loot. I'm playing on Very Hard.. it didn't end well.
Joanne Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Yeah that's the bit I was at the other day on Level 9... I manager to get the scorpions and the mutants to kill each other... then I think another scorpion found me and had away with my life. Playing on easy. Still dead hard!
Garacesh Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I think I'm level 14/15 now? But I don't actually think there's a cap on level in Fallout 4. So I'm trying to take it a bit slower than normal, explore new places.
Grey-gear Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I've got to level 25 I think. I think the level cap may be level 50 as there is a trophy\Achievement to reach that level.
Tesla Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I've got to level 25 I think. I think the level cap may be level 50 as there is a trophy\Achievement to reach that level. Fallout 4 will have no level cap and no hard finish - PC Gamer 1

Grey-gear Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 @Tesla & @Garacesh thanks for the info But does that mean that you could do everything on the Perk Trees?
Garacesh Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Yes. I beleive someone on Reddit worked it out and amusingly, IIRC, you have to level 255 (or was it 256? Might be 256 since there's no level 0) to have everything.
GuyJD Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) I spent all of last night, clearing out sanctuary of all the scrap, fortifying as best I could and generally making it a nice place to live. Has anyone figured out a aesthetically pleasing way of getting power into the houses yet? I've built wind turbines on the roof of each house and then had to run a cable down to a pylon that then runs a cable in through the front door, it's a right ball ache having cables everywhere. also slightly spoilery .... has anyone found the storm shelter/bunker in Sanctuary yet? ... Can you not use a pylon? They seem to wirelessly transmit power.. At least, my generator is wired to a pylon, my pylon is not wired to the lightbulb, but the lightbulb nearby lights up anyhow.

I've got a pylon outside and 2 of the ceiling mounted ones in the house that transmit power to the bulbs but they need cables run to them, so the cable runs in the front door.
Joanne Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I had a mess around at the red rocket last night and built a metal house. I put an outside light and a generator and a switch and wired the gene to the switch and the light works. The TV inside does not though.

Garacesh Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I had a mess around at the red rocket last night and built a metal house I just couldn't stay at Red Rocket after that South Park episode...
haci Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Regarding power to houses, I think if you put a coupling on the outside of the house and connect the wire to that all devices in the house should then have power.

Duranis Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 (edited) Regarding power to houses, I think if you put a coupling on the outside of the house and connect the wire to that all devices in the house should then have power. This is the way to go. If you have a very large building you might need to connect a few around the outside of it to fully cover it. The range seems to be a rough 8-10M sphere around them. Not sure if the large pylons give a larger power sphere or not. I also spent about 6 hours last night clearing out sanctuary, putting a fence all the way around it and building a large tower/gate entryway at the bridge with integrated spotlights and turrets. featured_spectre Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Was watching a guy play on twitch last night...he came across a mob legendary rad scorpions and 2 legendary deathclaws...26 mini nukes, 30 frags and almost all his minigun rounds later...he survived.
Garacesh Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 I think I'd have just turned and ran The game doesn't always give you that choice
Tesla Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 Was watching a guy play on twitch last night...he came across a mob legendary rad scorpions and 2 legendary deathclaws...26 mini nukes, 30 frags and almost all his minigun rounds later...he survived. I would hate to play it on that setting, i don't enjoy games that are ludicrously hard, i just get frustrated and want to break stuff, im with joanne i'll probably play on easy!
featured_spectre Posted November 20, 2015 Posted November 20, 2015 well I know I am going to be late to the party (have just over a month to wait), but I'll be getting it for christmas, along with the season pass, and play on medium...oh and the guy last night, was level 75 or so...
