We've bought from UK-based ebay sellers in the past. If the user is careless with their laptop, what's the point in spending mega-bux repairing it?

The last screen we replaced was cracked again within 2 weeks.

You'll most likely find cheaper panels by searching the model number of the panel as opposed to the model number of the laptop (if you weren't already). Be careful as the panels are often only subtly different from each other- slightly different connector location etc.

I know it's not always best, but I have bought all my computer spares from eBay, motherboards, graphics cards, hard drives and yes even a screen, currently getting an inverter board, the back light went in the laptop.

another +1 for accupart. also, if your not 100% sure, you can also ring them up, and they are really helpful on the phone too.

Have also used cheap ones from Amazon and ebay, but only when absolutely desperate and when the Finance Manager isn't there...
