I'm not sure what you mean by adjustable as your link doesn't work for me.

According to the service manual the problem is the low-voltage power supply, so I have ordered a 2nd hand replacement from eBay and hopefully that will bring it back to life.

Past few cameras I've ordered were the Fujifilm XP80, main reason was the lens doesn't extend out of the body as that seemed to be how most of our cameras got broke. The Nikon s33 is a similar camera and is currently £70 in argos. They are both over your budget though. Argos also have the Polaroid IE090 for £40 but reviews are mixed and it runs off 3xAA.

Does anyone know how to fix this error? I can't find any definitive answer online, so if anyone has experienced this before I'd be grateful for any help.

Yeah I ended up getting a new E5550 with similar specs because they can no longer source the back lid, did take about a month though I think.

Does anyone have any recommendations for TVs/displays to use as digital signage? Looking something around 50" with power on/off timers and nothing too expensive <£500 ex vat ideally. Thanks.

Think I was 14 when we got our first Packard Bell, I remember a technician being sent out because it wouldn't power on, turned out the switch behind the power button was inserted upside down. I think that's what got me interested in fixing them.

I was going to say Packard Bell but I was surprised to see the name is still being used, a division of Acer now according to Wikipedia.

Tried another PSU?

Looks like the CMOS battery might be close to the sata port if you pause at 3.02 in this video: ,full disassembly required though by the looks of it.

Oh that's even better news. I'll get in touch with dell then as I believe it still has another year left. Thanks

Glad to hear it's not just me then. Ordered a cheapo one off amazon for £13, hopefully it will do the trick, will just be myself using it so I'll know to be careful! Thanks for the info.

Cheeky request but if anyone has one of these laying around taking up space let me know. After the lcd casing as well but not essential.

OS X reinstall did not fix this but I finally managed to get into my time machine backup and was able to restore it to the start of the week so have lost very little. Thanks for all the suggestions and help!

Bought a refurb HDR-1010S 1TB a couple of months back and it has worked well, some of the menus can be a little slow to load but overall I'm happy with it.

Thanks, gave that a go but it said all appears ok and it still refuses to boot. I'm going to try doing a reinstall of OS X, I was told by apple that my files and programs would remain intact.

If I try with sudo it says sudo command not found, without it says No packages can be found for this disk

I opened it from the Utilities menu on the OS X Utilities screen
