Sagima Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I'm a bit behind and have just finished the first three seasons of Game of Thrones...just need to get season 4 ordered now :-) Just started watching something called Silks as well, which also has Natalie Dormer in it from Game of Thrones, quite enjoying that as well. Silk was very good. Ms Dormer was also excellent as Anne Boleyn in The Tudors - a show I enjoyed a million times more than wolf hall (which I probably won't bother with again) 1
sparkeh Posted July 28, 2015 Author Posted July 28, 2015 The Tudors Now there's a show. Well worth a watch if you can get it. Makes history really come alive!
Fazza Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I've recently started watching The Office (US) and although I only started a few weeks ago I am already halfway through the 3rd and final series!!
ICTDirect_Dave Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 I've recently started watching The Office (US) and although I only started a few weeks ago I am already halfway through the 3rd and final series!! 3rd and final? The US office ran for 9 series!
caffrey Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Watching The Knick at the mo, just started seems good so far @ICTDirect_Dave, how could you complain about the start of season 3 of Hannibal ? Best thing on TV - I know it went up it's own backside (even at fullers admission) but was such a spectacle to behold, shame its all over now and no chance of a season 4
ICTDirect_Dave Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 @ICTDirect_Dave, how could you complain about the start of season 3 of Hannibal ? Best thing on TV - How? I know it went up it's own backside (even at fullers admission) That's how! It took four episodes to tell a one episode story, did it in the most ridiculous arty fashion, lost everything that had made it good up to that point. Basically it got boring, confusing and as you said, up it's own Ar*e. However... episode five onwards has gotten really good again
mikeprice Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Currently suffering withdrawal as there is no Tour de France on the telly any more - watched the whole race (normally around 4 hours) every day for the whole 3 weeks Having to put with watching the 30 odd episodes of Wheeler Dealers that has built up while the Tour was on! anyway - off on hols on Saturday so no telly for 2 weeks!
Shadow_Walker Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 Just re watched Banshee again. Probably one of the best tv shows i have watched. Just waiting for walking dead and person of interest to start back up again now 1
Fazza Posted July 28, 2015 Posted July 28, 2015 3rd and final? The US office ran for 9 series! Whoops! You're right, I've just checked on Netflix and I'm halfway through series 9!! Not sure where the 3 came from!

ZeroHour Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Just re watched Banshee again. Probably one of the best tv shows i have watched. Just waiting for walking dead and person of interest to start back up again now Never heard of Banshee but it looks good! thanks for the tip!
caffrey Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 Season 4 will be banshees last, it's not cancelled it was already planned by the creative team so we should get a satisfactory ending at least - great TV though well worth the watch.

rickjames Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Currently going through a rather extensive list, kinda bummed that USA Network is now asking me to sign in to a cable provider to watch Mr. Robot; worked fine with Unblock.Us for the first three episodes and now it's not. Bah. Top of the Lake, Bojack Horseman, Mad Men, Seinfeld, Arrow, Agent Carter, True Detective to name a few. Cannot wait for the new seasons of Peaky Blinders and Fargo.
jxh Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Early Edition think I was too young to appreciate it when it was brand new that and Sliders :-)
Dos_Box Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Just finished season 2 of Mr Robot. Wow! No spoilers, but, wow!
Garacesh Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Just finished season 2 of Mr Robot. Wow! No spoilers, but, wow! Not seen much of it.. Just started watching Season 1 last night. "I'll just get in bed and watch one episode.", two episodes later, it's 00:30 and I'm really having to fight the urge to click 'next episode'.
pscott Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Just started watching Halt & Catch Fire never hear of it before it popped up on Amazon stick....
Dos_Box Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 Just started watching Halt & Catch Fire never hear of it before it popped up on Amazon stick.... Just binge watched that last week. Very good and can't wait to see season 2
unixman_again Posted September 23, 2016 Posted September 23, 2016 A lot of really old programs Land of the Giants, The Beverly Hillbillies, Dragnet, Annie Oakley, and The Cisco Kid. The first is currently showing daily on the Horror Channel and the rest nightly on Big Centre TV - keeping up with them is a challege. They are all series I watched when I was growing up. Gail Davis was an early crush - the first was Irish McCalla; I wish they would show some of her TV programs. I'm also watching The X Files nightly on Spike. What with all this and doing ballet classes and gym, I don't have much spare time at the mo. I was watching Burn Notice on DVD, but that will have to wait until Land of the Giants finishes.
Dos_Box Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 There is a new Netflix series 'Designated Survivor' on Netflix. It only started last week and the first episode sets it up to be a very good series indeed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_f1v0Nx5Sw
LeMarchand Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 There is a new Netflix series 'Designated Survivor' on Netflix. It only started last week and the first episode sets it up to be a very good series indeed. I saw the trailer a while back, but decided that there was too much I wanted to watch and this would have to be missed out. You'll have to let us know if it's any good. 1
mrbios Posted October 2, 2016 Posted October 2, 2016 Spent the whole day yesterday watching season 1 of stranger things....I HIGHLY recommend it if anyone hasn't seen it!
Duranis Posted October 10, 2016 Posted October 10, 2016 I'm halfway through watching Man in the High Castle really enjoying it so far. In brief the world shown is one in which the Axis won World War 2 and America is now ruled by the Nazis and Japan. The writing and acting are first class and you really feel the sense of despair and desperation the characters are going through. Also started watching Westworld which looks like it might turn into an interesting series.

In brief the world shown is one in which the Axis won World War 2 and America is now ruled by the Nazis and Japan. I wasn't impressed by the pilot and haven't bothered to catch up. Bearing that in mind, would you say it's worth persevering or that it's not for me? Wanna start on Westworld, but Mme LeMarchand not keen and been difficult to find a good night (especially as the visiting M-i-L would hate it).
