SimpleSi Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 I've had a Moodle VLE setup for one of my schools but after 7 days of it supposed to be being online - they still keep on telling me that they've had DNS issues and if I just wait 48/24hrs it'll be fine. That was a reasonable statement 4 days ago but its wearing a bit thin (and I'm dealing directly with the good guys at CLEO and not the Dark Lord's minions whose name we don't mention ). Just in case the faults at my end now and not theirs - if your bored could you give http://vle.euxton.lancs.sch.uk a go and see what happens Ta regards Simon
Jackd Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Nope nothing for me either. And again same here
Andrew_C Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 Server not found Firefox can't find the server at vle.euxton.lancs.sch.uk.
strawberry Posted December 20, 2007 Posted December 20, 2007 cant find it here either, it can find the domain -vle though. after recent problems with dns best thing to do is to ask what the name of their dns server is and use nslookup in realtime when your on the phone to them.
SimpleSi Posted December 21, 2007 Author Posted December 21, 2007 Ta for trying - I'll see what happens tomorrow 0- I just want to play with it over Christmas so I need it to work before they all go on holiday! regards Simon
mrcrazy04 Posted December 21, 2007 Posted December 21, 2007 Have you tried doing a DNS Report at DNSstuff.com - I found that quite helpful in debugging one of my sites.
