Gauntlet is okay once you get the positioning down.

spent the weekend on and off playing Xenoblade chronicles 2. never played any other xenoblade game before but its fun (like persona its anime in game form so if "fan service" bothers you that could be an issue). Its not grabbed me as hard as botw/zero dawn/persona 5 in that i dont feel the need to play it every minute im awake lol but so far im enjoying it getting killed a lot but tbh its not a major issue just annoying and usually because 1 enemy attacks you then you get dog piled on i think earlier this morning /last night i got through about 10 enemies before i ended up dying because they just kept coming (and i diddnt think to run away lol). Definitely better in tv mode than in handheld just because its gorgeous to look at but you can see its pushing the switch to its limit and i have experienced slow down, texture pop and stuff just appearing enough to make me wonder how well it would run on an xbox/ps4 (never mind the x/pro in 4k). At least there are no pokemon/ff7 random battles you can try to avoid fights if you dont want to you just risk being underlevelled (and even at an appropriate level for the story there are things that will 1 shot you in the 2nd area there are monsters than knocked me for 7000hp (i had 1300)

It's been available for ages on PC Master race an' all that.

Does look fun though. I know I've had my eye on it, and I was either going to buy it once I got the Steam Link or I have bought it, but I'm not sure which. If I don't own it, it's one I definitely will own eventually.

Definitely one of those games where you get a few mates round and go nuts.

(Also, if you're in the market, try Dungeon Defenders, Spelunky, Magicka, Death Road to Canada or BroForce)

ive watched plenty of gangbeasts lets plays over the years and i admit its funny but again only couch coop funny

well after saying xenoblade haddnt got me as much as botw etc ive played it at least an hour before work the last 2 days spent so long watching podcasts while playing it in handheld mode last night it had ~30% battery left and im 23 hours in since Friday evening lol

Still carving my way through Assassin's Creed: Origins.

I am back on Zelda: BOTW but I am not rushing this time, I am going to try and get all of the shrines, labyrinths armour, the lot, I am just zig zagging over the map

Slowly working through Uncharted 4. Hiding in long grass and creating a neat pile of dead mercenaries which acts like a honeypot for others, is awesome. As is hanging off ledges and pulling them over. Feels like playing Arkham Asylum in some ways, which is no criticism!

remember there is now a feature (heroes path mode) to show you how you wandered for the last 200 hours(i believe)

well still enjoying xenoblade chronicles 2 im now about 60 hours in but boy does it have issues at times. It really is pushing the switch hardware to its limits the slowdown is awful at times, its crashed on me 3 times twice ive lost 5-10 minutes of play last night it just half opened the menu but wouldnt close it and i lost 2 hours of progress (granted as its an rpg and you can skip cut-scenes and i diddnt need to explore areas i knew were empty i got back where i was pretty much in 30 mins) but still its anoying. The other issue is an anime one there are several cut-scenes where the camera is programmed to show you x and for example one where 2 female characters are talking to each other now granted lip sync sucks (at least in English)so focusing on faces can break immersion but im not sure focusing on someones bum is better lol

 

even though i already own Shantae 1/2 genie hero and first dlc ive ordered a collectors edition for switch (so i will own 2 cartridge games) to get the art book and soundtrack lol

Lots of games have focussed there - Aya Brea's walk towards the tower at the start of Parasite Eve 2 has the camera pan down, Bayonetta has several shots... the list goes on.
