Anyone playing the 4x4 mode on Ghost Recon Wildlands? It's great fun! I haven't so much as opened Battegrounds since the 4x4 beta came out!

still working my way through the single player stuff but considering how "good" i am i suspect going online is going to be more pain than fun. ive also paused this till i get my onex and decided to go through stick of truth and maybe finish off a couple of other games ive not quite done yet

Since I use my PC for gaming, going to post this here.

My 780 died and I need a new card. Please may I have your thoughts on https://www.cclonline.com/product/210930/08G-P4-6276-KR/Graphics-Cards/EVGA-GeForce-GTX-1070-SC-GAMING-ACX-3-0-8GB-Graphics-Card-PCI-E-3-x-DisplayPort-DVI-D-HDMI/VGA3496/?siteID=8BacdVP0GFs-M_yvr2cHYV_NbUxyrChLIg from you knowledgable people?

If this is within your budget then I would say it is a worthy replacement! If you could stretch a little bit more and wait a few days then I would go for this instead.

Anybody here been playing Super Mario Odyssey? Thoughts?
not played it yet but all i hear is good but to me it looks like (and is being compared to) mario 64 2 and i diddnt like that game at all

Finally decided to unwrap and start Doom. (certainly as Bethesda did such a good job with Wolfenstien: The New Order)...

First few moments, Doomguy picks up mission briefing - then casually tosses it aside as if to say "don't need that then". Perfect.

Doom is the best looking game i've played so far at 4k, (Destiny 2 is up there also)

I just love that you're right into the action instead of having to do a bunch of talking missions first!

I would only compare it to Super Mario 64 in the sense that Mario has similar controls and moves, but it still feels new and refined with all that Nintendo polish on it. I have only put about 5 hours in but have been really impressed so far. Nintendo are on top form lately!

1070 is absolutely awesome, I'm using the ASUS 1070 Strix which i also got from CCL.

There are some 1070 TI versions on CCL which look to be a bit more expensive but they're the more up to date releases.

Can't overclock the 1070 ti, so that's something to consider. The difference in price between the ti and the 1080 is quite small, so I'd stretch to a 1080 over the ti.

Here's a cheaper 1070 though: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01IPVIIAY/?tag=pcp0f-21

I have the GOTY edition, so have all the DLC too (Though IIRC, it's a harder to do the dlc quests)

Never completed it first time, i had just done Fallout 3 , then went into it, then got bored (because id been fallout-ing for ages)

I probably haven't, but it feels i'm already really far into the main story, having spoken to Yes Man , Mr House etc etc.

To be fair - the main storyline isn't really that long. It's all the side missions and the like that take all the time. I have a habit on Elder Scrolls / Fallout games to do all the side missions before attempting the main plot...

Questgiver: "Adventurer - we need you to kill some rats / radroaches"

Me: "But I'm the head of every guild / organisation"

Questgiver: "They've been getting into our supplies"

Me: *sigh* "Okay"

I've actually been struggling to get many side quests (two in my mind were killing ants, and launching half-ghoul types from rockets) which probably isn't helping my cause with me seemingly doing the main mission to try and get more quests (I daren't attempt the DLC stuff yet)

I also have Ed-e , but I have to go around with him until someone says his next trigger word. Hmm.

Ed-e + Boone = Constant "OHSH...!" moments from the spontaneous killcams as Ed-e sees an enemy 2km away and Boone potshots it in the face.

Yarp, that's Veronica.

I always found it amusing that she'd happily run over and uppercut a Deathclaw, but when you trade with her she's all girly like "You have something for me? :o IS IT A DRESS?!"
