Picked up Playerunknowns Battlegrounds or whatever it's official name is! Although I think the name is a bit pants, it sure as hell walks all over H1Z1. Been loving it, feels like a proper Battle Royale game at last!

The name smacks of this 'PlayerUnknown' trying to do the whole Tom Clancy thing and just sounds like it's forced/trying too hard, but as for the game itself, I've heard a lot of favourable reviews about it.

I'm not massively into the whole battle royale/permadeath PvP genre, but I can understand why others are.

well played in the splatoon 2 testfire over the weekend that was fun still prefer using rollers. Getting into the first one was a bit of a pain just wouldnt let me start but once on was ok. The back to doing more botw (ive just abandoned ff15 even the thought that it cost me £38 and i need to get more than 90 mins out of it cant get me back into it im just glad i diddnt buy the version with dlc) done more side quests finished shrines id found but couldnt work out at the time and found more shrines so in the course of Sunday afternoon ive managed to expand my stamina wheel 3 times so i now have 160% more stamina than i started the game with mountain climbing is much less dangerous now jsut need to find the 3rd part of the climbers gear to make it faster (though most of my exploring was in snowy areas so wouldnt of helped) lol. Did find the most anime thing ever in the game though a secret mountain hotspring (its even named someones secret hotsprings)

Tried the Splatoon 2 testfire myself, first time I've played the games and it was obvious that I was playing against people that have!! Excellent game from what I played, will be picking this up when it's released.

the biggest gotcha is that its not about shooting people you can have 8 deaths and 0 kills and still be mvp its just about inking the ground (and walls dont count)

That does look really good from the videos I've seen, the only thing putting me off is the play area seems to decrease in size very quickly.

Getting slightly despondent with the lack of any updates from the devs about Gang Beasts being released on PS4, was meant to be out late last year, then moved to Q1 this year, still nothing on their site and nothing has been updated since December. Annoying as the game looks really fun! ( I've mentioned it on here before...)

I can't say I've ever noticed it, if anything it only improves the flow. Because if you spawn top left of map and the play circle in on the military base right at the bottom, you've got around 3 mins to get some basic gear and get your behind shifting behind the moving electric barrier of doom comes for you. Player encounters are frequent due to this. Gun play is refreshing, actually having to know how to use them and not just look and spray like you do with H1. I just couldn't play H1 due to it's arcade like play style. Yes Battlegrounds isn't the most realistic shooter to ever hit the market but good god, it's awesome anyway!

Get it dude, I dare you. You won't be dissapointed.

Sounds kinda like that game where a poison gas cloud circles around you? Can't remember its name, I just know it exists 'cause of SovietWomble.

Green gas - That sounds like H1Z1 which I refer to above. Didn't enjoy that one at all, Battlegrounds is leaps and bounds above.

My view of H1Z1, Battlegrounds or any of that kind of game is - meh. They just look boring to me IMO. Especially when every Twitch streamer jumps on the bandwagon.

The Culling probably. He also plays this one too :) haven't bought it yet but if it's anything like the others then I won't play it for more than a month.

I haven't, but a friend of mine wrote the Eurogamer review and she will not stop fangirling about it. Reckons it's the best of the series, and the best place for newcomers too. 100+ something hours as well, so I'll never play it, but that length might suit some :)

I'm currently playing Persona 4 Golden on the Vita.

'tis... just... brilliant.

I've always looked at the Persona series, certainly as it appears to be pretty much the MegaTen flagship series - and I've played the Digital Devil Saga and Raidou Kuzhunoa series'.

If you like the general style - you'll probably like them all, they all appear to be slightly different flavours of the same 'universe'.

In general - the Persona series is about another 'world' (usually accessible at midnight) where stuff is happening and balancing that with daily school life (where you can forge social links between characters).

The only bad thing I've heard/seen about the series was back in Persona3 with the 'inducers' (a 'tool' to bring out a persona) which were shaped like handguns (leading the characters to simulate suicide). But that was a very bad design choice in a single game.

Oooh... PERSONA.

It's like 10% dungeon crawler, 90% dating sim. [emoji14]

The story ( both main story and side stories) are really good. Lot's of character development.

I highly recommend Persona 5. I am on my second play-through of the Japanese version and have the English version pre-ordered.

I tried Persona 3 a while back as a side-step from standard action RPGs and was very happy with it. P5 is even better than P4 IMO. There is so much depth and character development to these games that you will easily become gripped.

I haven't bought it yet.

I want to see what happens with the DLC... that :censored: is expensive, for what it is.

Maybe there'll be a complete edition. Or I'll cave and buy the regular version.

Want o buy a switch, yes I am admitting it, I want it. Been into many stores and checked online, looks like UK wide shortage, brought on with even more want because a student here has one!
