BKGarry Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 @Joanne I am playing Witcher 3 but am currently wandering around aimlessly as it's telling me to either find more about Ciri or More about the Barons wife in Valen, no quest markers, just travelling around attacking things and doing random side quests at the mo as it isn't helping me :-(
mrbios Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 (edited) I got this free with my graphics card and not even installed it yet Ditto. Might go for it next. I highly recommend it! Absolutely brilliant game, i can see why it won a few game of the year awards. I don't normally enjoy single player games besides the likes of GTA. I'm used to playing dota, cs etc with people, but this had me hooked for ages. The story is really well made, the enemies initially can be really tough, you actually have to be a bit tactical about the battles rather than just button bashing.....that is, until you out level the main quest by completing too many secondary missions. Unfortunately i had leveled to level 35 and had mastercrafted gear by the time i continued the main story past the recommended level 22 stuff, which made it a bit too easy, but the story was still very enjoyable. Don't forget to stick a few of the graphical mods on too. If playing it on PC some of the mods can really sharpen the graphics up nicely. @Joanne I am playing Witcher 3 but am currently wandering around aimlessly as it's telling me to either find more about Ciri or More about the Barons wife in Valen, no quest markers, just travelling around attacking things and doing random side quests at the mo as it isn't helping me :-( Sounds like you need to go to either crows perch or the crookback bog, can't remember that part of the game very well though now, the bog has a marker, some huts, there's lots of drowners in the surrounding areas, and some kids playing. IGN is normally a good site for tips. I pretty much google the hell out of games! Hahahah!! It's not cheating. I just want to enjoy the game!
eyetea Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Zombicide (Boardgame) just turned up on my desk! Downside is I won't have time to play it until next week https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/113924/zombicide
Arreks Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Last game bought.. maybe Green Means or w/e? I bought Just Cause 3 but got bored so uninstalled it - can only go messing around for so long and I'd rather play GTA if I'm doing that!
LeMarchand Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Just got Fallout 1, 2, 3 + New Vegas for <£9 at Humble.
X-13 Posted January 16, 2016 Posted January 16, 2016 Finally finished Bayonetta... Game time: 14 hours Actual time: multiple years 'cause I got distracted by other games.
korifugi Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 Just finished Grim Fandango Remastered. Think it's probably time to finish The Order: 1886
Garacesh Posted January 20, 2016 Posted January 20, 2016 How does it stack up against the original? Part of me wants to buy it but if it's just the same it'll be no fun cause I still remember it all..

Part of me wants to buy it but if it's just the same it'll be no fun cause I still remember it all.. Can't believe I'm going to say this in the context of gaming, but.... For once - wrong person to ask. I missed it the first time round and never actually got around to playing it. I've always meant to play it through but always got distracted. As far as I know - it's exactly the same, just with tidied visuals and better lighting effects. Edited January 20, 2016 by korifugi
LeMarchand Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Just finished Richard & Alice. Prisoners in opposite cells in a facility discuss their pasts in a world covered in snow where civilization has broken down. This has reasonable reviews, but I found that the cartoony graphics detracted from the (unremittingly bleak) tone and that there was far too much clicking to see the next bit of dialogue. Might have made an OK episode of Black Mirror, but I wouldn't recommend unless you think you're feeling overly cheerful.
korifugi Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Just bought Resident Evil: Origins Collection for the PS4 - basically fully remastered versions of the first Res and Res: Zero
eyetea Posted January 24, 2016 Posted January 24, 2016 Finished one of the Zombicide tutorials, loved it! Anyone around Surrey fancy some board games?
Tesla Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 Been playing Hardware: The Rivals, free PSN game this month, and it's only just been released, they are onto patch 1.07 already and it's been out three weeks...hopefully a sign that they will keep listening to user feedback. It's a good laugh, though matchmaking in a party is a massive PITA atm.
GuyJD Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 Bought Scrap mechanic and Rocket league over the weekend, been wanting Rocket league for a while but never got around to getting it, I hear that the online play is cross platform between PS4 and PC so I should be able to play with my PS4 mates. Scrap Mechanic looks pretty cool and has a lot of potential for an early access game, it's really fun if you love building stuff and messing about with physics then this is definitely a game to mess about with. I also complete the main story line on Fallout 4, feeling a bit meh with it now to be honest, I'll continue to play it on and off just to mess about but I think I'm done with it really.
Tesla Posted January 25, 2016 Author Posted January 25, 2016 @GuyJD YEs it is cross platform, but i don't think you can join a party with your mates, i *think* it's just the matchmaking side of it on their end that chucks both ps4 players and pc players into the same match.....
