Tesla Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 ps4 pizzza/pizza slice/no pizza/pizzza box CANNOT UN-SEE.
LeMarchand Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I downloaded the free games on PSN last night and played through Walking Dead episode 2. It only took me an hour or two... is there more to this game? It finished with me having to decide which guy to run to on each sides of a river. I enjoyed it, but thought it would be a bit longer (I checked up on episode 1 and it was £20!!). Anyone else played it? I've played the "Fables" Telltale game and liked it enough to buy the "Game of Thrones" one when it went <£10 for the "series", but @sted has summed them up fairly accurately (the Fables one had a few QTEs as well). I think their strength is that they make it seem as if you have to make choices that make you look at your morals. I'm pretty sure that you will soon get forced back on track if you stray too far from the preset path, so I'm not convinced that your decisions greatly affect the outcome of game.

Joanne Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I think that I finished 'chapter 1' or whatever... looking at the trophies I'm almost certain there is more. I'm gonna be picking up Fallout 4 from tesco hopefully after work, so we'll see!
korifugi Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 There's now quite a few of them... Back to the Future, A Wolf Among Us, Walking Dead Season 1, Walking Dead Season 2, Tales from the Borderlands, Game of Thrones, I've played through Walking Dead Season 1 - and it seemed more of an interactive movie to me, it was good - but the moral choices only really seemed to affect who came with me at the end to . That said - I will be going through Season 2 (why not - free game!) Has anyone tried Dragon Fin Soup yet? It has my interest, but I'm currently trying to complete Mad Max on the 4 and finish Beyond Good & Evil on the 3 (which was a MUST for me as I loved it on the PS2)
Joanne Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 I had a look at Walking Dead Season 1 last night to buy before playing Season 2, but at £20 I thought maybe not! Fallout 4 is only gonna cost me a tenner because of Club Card Boost BAYBAY!
Tesla Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 Not tried yet, i'll put that top of my list, TWD doesn;t appeal to me, never watched tv series or anything, and never played season 1.
LeMarchand Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 Beyond Good & Evil Is that good, then? I've got it and looking for a new game to start, but thought it looked a bit frantic for me at the moment.

I certainly enjoyed it (and still do), and it won a fair number of awards - it was meant to be expanded into a trilogy but the second one has been stuck in the on again/off again development hell limbo for a while. 1

Will give it a go next if I have it on PS3, then. If it's on PC may have to wait for various logistical reasons.
korifugi Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 If you have PS+, the HD remaster is currently free. I'd ummed & ahhed about getting it when I found out they'd done a re-master (as I generally dislike re-buying HD re-masters), but if they're giving it away - done deal!

Don't get enough time to game to make PS+ economical, but just logged on to my Game collection database and it's the HD PS3 remaster. Bonus daughter visiting tonight, so I may get a chance to play...

I cant stand the tv series of twd its far too graphic for me (managed maybe 3 episodes before I gave it up) but really enjoyed the game. Im debating getting the telltale collection but its £70 but cheaper than buying them all at £20 a pop (not so much as I already have twd s1) but I also bought bttf and that was fun more interactive and possibly because of that and that its more "linear" in you have do find a then do b (so read monkey island) it was less fun
LiamH Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 (edited) So want to buy fallout 4 and shadow of mordor, but the other half has said not to buy anything til after my bday / xmas. Started playing Infamous:Second Son yesterday, i bought it when i bought my ps4, but had never sat and played it. Seems goodish so far, very similar to the others just with different elemental power (smoke instead of electricity....) Denying you fallout 4 till potentially xmas?!?! the cruelty! Joanne Posted November 11, 2015 Posted November 11, 2015 spoiler alert: those are your presents @Tesla
Tesla Posted November 11, 2015 Author Posted November 11, 2015 I won't get both, im just generally not supposed to by myself anything i'd consider a treat for myself, like games etc. haha

Didn't play it too much, mind.
Joanne Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Completed the Walking Dead Season 2 game last night. Grim AF ending for me. My own fault really. Kinda want to play it again and choose different options!
korifugi Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 Finished BG&E on the PS3 (about the 4th time I've completed it overall). Still not sure what it is about the game that makes me love it - but either way, hoping for the second to actually exist.

Still not sure what it is about the game that makes me love it - but either way, hoping for the second to actually exist. Have been enjoying that on your recommendation. Hoping not to have to resort to looking up how to get past the bit I'm stuck on at the moment. Bought Grim Fandango remaster as <£5. May get to play it one year...
sted Posted November 16, 2015 Posted November 16, 2015 bought tell tale collection finished tales from the borderlands and started on game of thrones another game based on tv i dont watch (like walking dead) lol
X-13 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Last game completed: Shovel Knight... About an hour ago. Just need to finish grabbing music notes and get the rest of the armours for 100% Then I'm going on to Plague of Shadows. Plague Knight is so cool.

Just need to finish grabbing music notes and get the rest of the armours for 100% Then I'm going on to Plague of Shadows. Plague Knight is so cool. ive got it and just couldn't get into it think ive earned 2 achievements for 0 points lol tell tale collection I bought a fortnight or so ago is now 67% off on xbox (if your on gold) nice kick in the teeth but oh well lol bought need for speed completed wolf among us (most chapters to some degree twice for achievements its funny doing all the "bad" options) and started on twd s2 and my letting people die/poor choice streak continues lol
LeMarchand Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 completed wolf among us If you enjoyed the game's setting, the comics really are worth a read - but at 22 trade paperbacks (+ assorted spin offs) not a cheap collection! They're set mainly in present day, so a few years after "Wolf".
