get a wii and dance around in front of it.

Near impossible to buy at the moment!

I got one at HMV last Thursday - £250 Bundle - any two games, 1gb SD Card, plus the console.

Next time you get a tech call out go for a jog and take the longest route to the classroom. Don't bother wearing a shirt; just wear a tracksuit with sweat bands... It's perfectly normal and no one will give you funny looks... honest.

I'm in the same boat, the plan is either to start hill walking with an MP3 player or to set up a media centre type-thing in the spare room with one of those home multigyms, bach while benchpressing sounds fun :D

I'm sure you and your daughter will love it!

I get plenty of exercise; our main building has loads of stairs. The server is on the 2nd floor, the ICT suite on the ground floor and my office on the 1st floor.

Our site is on quite a steep hill and so moving between our buildings also gives me plenty of exercise! I lose the weight put on during holidays quite quickly once term begins!

If you're like me and hate the gym/actual excercise but LOVE video games then I recommend you play copious amounts of DDR, the game is addictive and it'll make you shed pounds like nobodies business if you play it often enough.

If you feel like a prat stomping on arrows then theres always the gym I suppose...

I found the easiest way was to split up with my partner. After the month of drowning my sorrows in alcohol I have started going to the gym most days to make myself feel better and eating alot less chocolate.

Bit drastic but the weight is flying off. :)

Hi

This thing i have been working on for past year (but illness stopped me doing a lot) but going to be starting again. Key here (so I am told as person who not known for being thin ;) ) is that no point in just exercising it takes something like 60 minutes to burn 100 calories so key is that you must also eat more healthy way as well.

Plenty of good sites for tracking calories and how much eaten vrs how much lost in exercise etc.

What will say don't expect overnight results the extreme weight losing methods are not good for you at all.

Good places to start are http://www.fitday.com/ & http://www.traineo.com/login.

Also work out what how you want to exercise what ever it is it needs to be on regular basis so if a sport suggest joining a club or something else gym is good option.

If going to go to the gym fine one that gives you intro session to create a workout plan.

If want to do running then the couch to 5k is good plan (I was doing this before I fell of band wagon).

I'm resorting to paying for a gym membership... but not actually going!

Brown bread fills you up... eat that with soup for dinner. Cheap on pennies and calories.

mmm chocolate

Do weights!

Muscle burns more calories than fat - the more muscle you have the more calories you burn, even when your not moving about!

Take up a sport like horse riding. As a bonus you get to meet lots of ladies. I find there tends to be a high ratio of horse riders in schools. So you can arrange pub rides in the summer.

I do ride - we have two horses at the moment but as there are three of us (me, wifey & daughter) I tend to end up with mucking out the stables and clearing the paddocks rather than riding :-(
