For anyone that doesn't want to splash out on a Photoshop subscription, Serif are offering their Affinity photo software for half price at £23.99

https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/photo/#top

Real question, but is it any good? :p (In regards to worth paying compared to any of the freebies GIMP/IS etc)

Not used Serif in a looooonnng time, so may be silly question!

I'm a fan of Affinity Photo, although I don't think I'm yet using it to its full potential. Some of the students at the last school I worked at certainly had no complaints about switching to it from Photoshop.

Another Affinity user here, one off cost, updated regulary. Good tutorials online.

I never liked the idea of paying monthly for software.

I'm no photographer but I've just got the OnePlus 8 Pro and I really liked these! I'm sure with editing or a better photographer, these will look ace! IMG_20200514_212939.jpgIMG_20200514_120958.jpgIMG_20200513_161833.jpgIMG_20200512_131903.jpgIMG_20200513_155622.jpg

The lizard really stands out.[emoji106]

I would recommend Snapseed for Android for your phone photos does a lot more than the standard phone editors.

Some images from a recent visit to the Isle of Skye. (legal through support bubble in case anyone is wondering)

I love Skye, so beautiful. I think the visit would have been legal even without the support bubble, wouldn't it? Hotels, etc. are opening again now, although probably not many on the island yet.

Bet it was great without the tourists.

YES!!!!!!!!

Am a regular as the McMissus lives there. More or less had the whole place to ourselves. The last 2-3 years has been a nightmare tourist wise.

Not two weeks ago when I first arrived. Didn't get any questions though. A month or two ago visitors were getting abused by the locals. Can understand why really. The 'local' hospital is Inverness and I think that only has 8 ICU's.

I was one of them 2 years ago. :D

We said we wouldn't go back because of that reason, although maybe October time would be better, but we felt that Skye is just too busy in May (summer) compared to the likes of Oban and the isles.

Although we didn't stay on Skye we stayed on the Kyle of Lochalsh in May and only went on Skye about 3 times in the week we were up there because it was so busy.

I suppose the Skye bridge just makes it convenient to get to which just opened up the Island and takes away the remoteness that some crave for.

Nice photos though.
