So by creating a thread 3 years ago about closing the vista forum, we have created a vista forum?

More of a 'help me get away from Vista' forum... :)

Ah, so more like 'Hasta la Vista, baby'? ;)

*Screams internally* Personally i would in vest in a new device, you can get a decent refurb laptops these days for around the £150 mark, or a Windows tablet around the same
You know what, i'm actually interested to buy the cheap $199 laptop from Lenovo that just got revealed yesterday at MWC 2017. It's a Windows 10 laptop with pretty decent intel processor. Hopefully, it will arrive soon on the market

Link: Windows Vista support is ending

What is Windows Vista end of support?

After April 11, 2017, Windows Vista customers will no longer receive new security updates, non-security hotfixes, free or paid assisted support options, or online technical content updates from Microsoft. Microsoft has provided support for Windows Vista for the past 10 years, but the time has come for us, along with our hardware and software partners, to invest our resources towards more recent technologies so that we can continue to deliver great new experiences...

Night night then...

:)

You missed out Windows 2000, which was very good indeed.

It's more complicated than just good/bad (especially since you missed out some versions of Windows). :)

Windows XP RTM = Star Trek: The Motion Picture
Windows XP SP1 = Star Trek V - The Final Frontier
Windows XP SP2 = Star Trek - Nemesis
Windows XP SP3 = Star Trek Generations

Windows Vista RTM & SP1 = Star Trek: Insurrection
Windows Vista SP2 = Star Trek III - The Search For Spock

Windows 7 RTM = Star Trek VI - The Undiscovered Country
Windows 7 SP1 = Star Trek Beyond

etc.

You of all people, @DalekSec, should be ashamed of treating a fellow member in such manner by saying "BAN HIM, BAN HIM NOW!"

Get it right, you're supposed to say EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!

Honestly, can't get the Daleks these days!

I didn't mind Vista. Give it at least a couple of GB of RAM and it really was fine.

Spec-savers are still doing free eye tests fyi:cool:;)

I'd say keep it.

Great for SEO and getting new visitors to the site. Im sure its only taking around 10mb of SQL space.
