Next year, put something over the barcode on one side of the badge and walk around with that side showing. Flip it over to get scanned. Should help with the random scans.

I should have a check list to complete for BETT. The idea is that when I think I've had enough of BETT stuff, I can switch it off.

Do like I do, print off 2, 1 legit, and make 1 line thicker in Paint/photoshop for the dud one, makes the barcode come up with an error! 1

One of which we were very keen on and it would've been a big contract too! Oh well, their loss.

rad Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 None, cos my pass was registered to someone elses email address. Even though I got sent the Bett 2014 thing through the post with a pass, I was not on the system when I got there so they couldnt reprint a pass for me.

I made it very clear and as far as I saw, it never happened, it was also far too busy for us to waste time doing that. Thanks.

In more on-topic news, had two calls today where the lead generators had clearly ignored what I had expressed interest in and just forged ahead selling the latest shiny-shiny. As for drive-by scanning, I kept my badge in my shirt pocket, stops that nonsense dead!
