Does smart have any t+c's which would prevent Schools from using other Touch Collaborative software on their IWB's rather than cough up £££'s on their licensing ?

Totally agree with pcstu above. I think any VLE including Fronter would succeed if given the appropriate time and investment and led from a Senior Management Team. My daughters School - the pupils know more ICT than the teachers who lack in IT confidence... Once the skills of the teachers are addressed then ICT will flourish in classrooms

Yep I prefer too avoid zapping and get the sales team to write out info - but only if there is a prize attached !

I'm new to edugeek - I was also at Bett looking for solution for Schools (I look after their AV/ICT) who have similar Smart Licensing issues and I've come across a solution that imports smart board files just as collaborative works on boards and interactive touchscreens and is a one off cost. Please PM me if you want to know more as I don't want to get banned for an offence of mentioning a Supplier...doh !
