even my other half (who is a teacher!)

This is quite interesting... how many of you are married to (or going out with) teachers? I doubt it is just coincidence that you all work in schools. Lol.

As for the IT crowd... I thought it was quite accurate.

- Characters were a bit out of place (okay, for some of us only)

- The state of the office was accurate for most of us (a rubbish dump)

- The equipment in the office was pretty accurate (the pile of keyboards and old monitor that have been there for ten years, the signs all over the desks and doors (I'm looking at webman here :p) and the stack of components that are so old that some of them, you don't even know what they are)

- The location of the office was spot on (the place where no-one wants so the servers end up in there and therefore us)

- The "have you tried turning it off and on again" jokes etc. is spot on (we have all been there)

I could go on :)

What channel is this on??? I am all a bit confused...

According to my sky guide, IT Crowd is on tonight (thursday) on Channel 4 at 11:35pm. But it lists the episode as "Aunt Irma visits", which I am pretty sure was an episode from the 1st series

Lol. I was a bit disappointed about the lack of IT related jokes too, but it was really funny all the same. They have a done a good job of it, I hope they keep it up.

It was an ok episode, there was a lack of IT jokes but hopefully that will improve next week. But a bit of a rant from me and that was the whole gay theme through it was a bit, well to put what my friend said to me "why does the whole world think IT blokes are gay!" Now I am not trying to be homophobic here or anything but I really do get fed up of people thinking that we are all gay, fine some of us are which is fine and some are straight which again is fine, but that was well pritty darned pants of them and sooo predictable, even if Moss and Roy were going oooh over the actress that was in the show at the Theatre.

Anyway rant over, just wanted to get that off my chest.

I also have never heard of the IT bloke - gay connection. Maybe it's something they say behind our backs in the staffroom/playground.

Here too.

Wikked episode, well done, confident launch - very cool. Can't wait for the rest now :D

Hmmm maybe its a Yorkshire thing then, or just something that I pickup and hear, or maybe your all married or drag your girlfriends / boyfriends (for the females among us) to events and its just us that are either gay or single that dont and then end up hearing the gay jokes.

Meh I will go get my coat on that matter, it must be me.

So hold on. At the end of the first series, Moss ends up sleeping with Jen and Roy sleeps with the shrink that looks like his mum. At the end of the episode it says "To be continued" in big letters. Then S2 comes along and it's as if nothing happened! What happened? I want closure dammit! :p

Seriously though, was very funny. Better than most of the episodes from the last series I think.

Lol, it was probably one from somewhere else in the building that was no longer wanted, so dumped in the "basement" (i.e. the techies office).

I'd gladly received a sofa, however, I wouldn't have room for it :( .

It doesn't look like a techies office anymore. It was too tidy.

Also... exactly what does a relationship manager have to do with IT? Lol.
Were supposed to be mean evil people that are not approacable by anyone, and we are supposed to be pants are interacting with others etc so we need a person to manage our relationships with others for us :)
