Hi. I have two computers one of which is connected to the internet. I want both computers on the internet. I have a virgin media modem with just an ethernet cable going into my PC. Is there any such thing as a ethernet splitter so the ethernet cable from the modem will plug into it and i can add another ethernet cable to the other PC so it can connect to the internet?

thats what i was thinking but im still going ahead by putting 512mb RAM in.

Right here i go... Im recieving an old computer prob windows 98. Im assuming its not coming with any discs (software discs etc) and i have a downloaded copy of xp on a disc i would like to install on it. Here is my question. Would i need motherboard, graphics card drive disks to install xp or will it already recognise them from the old OS? please may someone reply...

So sorry i said that wrong, he shutdown one computer to show how it works and later that day he used shutdown command for every comp, got confused sorry.

Heard of telnet? i have seen it in action as the techy in our school shutdown every computer in school (over 200) due to a scheldued power cut. Google it. He used the telnet command and shutdown to every computer IP in a notepad file and ran it as a batch file.

try a shutdown command in command prompt, shutdown -s "Computer IP"

You could change the program folder name to "logitech (off)" and reboot causing the computer to find the info of that folder but not find it and then try and uninstall it. Or logon as the admin in safemode and try.
