nab Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) I was part of a music forum a few years back, and annually the question was asked, "what's your favourite buscuit?" So I figured why not see how it goes down here! I'm kicking things off with Chocolate Hob Nobs... Let battle commence: PS. Before we go there; Jaffa Cakes are classified as Cakes! Edited April 17, 2013 by nab I don't want a Jaffa Cake debate!
JJonas Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) I see your Chocolate Hob Nobs and raise you Orange Chocolate Hob Nobs. for the uninitiated that site also offers this advice... How to spot biscuits They come in packets They have two sides You could dunk them in tea Edited April 17, 2013 by JJonas
Jawloms Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Golden Crunch Creams, especially the other day when the Co-op had them on BOGOF! 1
aerospacemango Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 The humble ginger biscuit...in any of it's guises....can rightly be called the "King of Biscuits"! From shops own to the majesty that is McVities, it is hard to beat that gingery mterpiece!
sonofsanta Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I think I might have to go with Golden Crunch Creams as well, although the ginger ones are also good. Also, can anyone explain why chocolate digestives are like normal digestives but much better, while chocolate rich teas are like normal rich tea biscuits but horrible? (answering 'because rich teas are horrible' is not an answer, you are wrong, they are lovely) Regarding Jaffa Cakes, there can be no dispute - they are legally classified as cakes, on a number of grounds but in particular because "On going stale, a Jaffa cake goes hard like a cake rather than soft like a biscuit."
Devontechie Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Custard Creams or Cookies... Yeah custard Creams are good
Ad93 Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 Bourbons, particularly Asda Smart Price Bourbons at 24p a pack, can't go wrong with Bourbons! A

JJonas Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 I forgot the Golden Chrunch creams and lotus biscuits. Surely it must be possible to manufacture an ultimate biscuit by sticking Golden Chrunch creams to Orange Chocolate Hobnobs with Lotus Biscuit spread? The wife is out tonight! I need to make a trip to Waitrose, I have experiments to conduct....
Heebeejeebee Posted April 17, 2013 Posted April 17, 2013 (edited) Fig Roles!!!!! Oooh! I love fig rolls but really hate figs. I'm a bit of a Nice fan myself - it's a great fallback from the Hobnobs et al. Shorties - the round ones with the frilly edges and currents in. Fruit Shorties I think they're called.
