Sunnyknight Posted March 25, 2013 Author Posted March 25, 2013 if it is just a single game...Doom 1 I'm sure this is now on xbox? Or is that doom 3? its damned hard to pick one but if i must mario kart as long as there is a player 2 to spill coke on etc Loved the snes MK, but due to the ds having it on there, and the possible 8 players games, i'd choose it over the snes one
featured_spectre Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I completed the game on hard...christ, that game IS hardness define! lol
ICTDirect_Dave Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 How could I forget Carrier Command? The amount of hours I lost chasing that thrice damned enemy carrier across the sea doesn't bear thinking about!
localzuk Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Escape Velocity (video game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia EV was a great game - although a bit too easy compared to Override and Nova.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 EV was a great game - although a bit too easy compared to Override and Nova. Override was huge! and really tough! There's a wonderful total conversion mod for Nova too which makes playing override possible again. Nova is still my fav however, far reaching stories, awesome ships and totally impossible on the strict setting!

My only negative comment on Nova was the fact that the 'random' campaign choice seemed to favour some storylines over others. ie. You end up as a telepath freeing everyone more times than not.

You end up as a telepath freeing everyone more times than not. That was entirely based on the amount of times you visit earth and what response you give to Lyrell the first time you meet him. EV Nova Walkthroughs gives you the dest description of how the storylines can be started. It's all random dice rolls after completing certain criteria.
Pete10141748 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 No way I can pick just one! Ocarina of Time, Final Fantasy 7 and Pokémon Fire Red, shortest list I can make.
Rawns Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 (edited) Has to be Buckaroo. What? The OP never specified what kind of game.... Edited March 25, 2013 by Rawns 1
Jawloms Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Buckaroo is great fun to play with your kids; You wait until they're asleep, then you and your wife balance stuff on them and whoever wakes them up/makes stuff fall off, loses! 1
Geoff Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 I used to play a similar game at uni with my housemates and the kitchen bin. When it was getting full people would precariously balance junk on it. Whoever put something on that caused the whole lot to fall off/over had to empty the bin.
sparkeh Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Either Icewind Dale 2 or neverwinter nights 2. Lost way to much of my time playing those, or in the the case of NWN2, in the toolset building areas for our persistent world.
Mullaney18 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 Battlefield 2. More specifically Project Reality. Awesome mod for teamwork. Once spent 3 hours in one round. back in version 0.6 days I think. Cant will my self to install it now. Not man enough. The lure of the crass run and gun from Call of Duty 4 slowly numbed my brain. Although I fight that COD4 is the best of the Call of Duty series.
LiamH Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) Mines going to have to be a list too. Dungeon keeper (cant wait for wfto) Cod 2 RTCW:ET Civ games Total war games Total Annihilation (blew C&C out of the water but never seemed as popular) KOTOR 1 & 2 + Jedi knight 1 + 2 Mortal Kombat Constructor freelancer *runs off to download dosbox and dig out some old games* More recent ones: Minecraft + mods Supreme commander Sins of a solar empire L4D BF3 / bad company Mass effect 1+2 ( still sulking about 3's ending) Eve Online Edited March 26, 2013 by LiamH 1
Disease Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Battlefield 3 is by far the best FPS I have played on the basis of multiplayer, miles better than the crap that is COD
tmcd35 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 (edited) another list Was Jet Pac then I discovered Fantasy World Dizzy then I discovered Flash Back then I discovered Civilization then I discovered Batman Arkham Assylum then I discovered Assassins Creed I'm more excited now by what I'm going to discover next than playing old games. Watch_Dogs, PS4, FTW! Edited March 26, 2013 by tmcd35

I said 1! lol
Flatpackhamster Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Based on longevity and hours gobbled up, I would guess either Pharaoh or Elite. Possibly Civ/Civ2
localzuk Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 If I base it on hours, it'd have to be EVE Online. I sank probably 8 hours a day into that for 3 years...
Michael Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 Probably the original Super Mario or Donkey Kong I still have my NES somewhere and it's boxed! Worth a small fortune!
tmcd35 Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 If you get a chance, its amazing. You're an office worker in a swivel chair and you have to traverse an office building and save the day by throwing cans of fizzy drink at people, and firing staplers etc... Whilst avoiding floppy disks, post carts and cleaning robots. Lol, reminded me of one of my all time favourite CPC games - How to be a Complete Bastard - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Can't believe I forgot dungeon keeper! TA was incredible too! Online games were tough, but naval battles rocked!
