Our DSL (Head) leads, which he did in the staff training and Online safeguarding issues are reported to him as any normal safeguarding indecent. I compile the directive/ policy and make sure its met (Because its vast, crossing over serveral of our other policies, such as Positive Behaviour, Prevent, Anti Bullying, Acceptable Usage, ICT Curric etc as well as the reporting and monitoring).

Amongst all the other main important factors, showing progress in their attainment is one of the most important, so any non conventional approach that can prove its successful in raising attainment (proper documentation of its impact) is definitely a plus. As you will be well aware, specially after AWOL, understanding and adapting your curriculum to facilitate their needs and identifying approaches to take to maximise their potential. Properly documented for its impact will look good to anybody. Forest schools also attracts persistent absentees (Usually you low achieving boys) to learning without having to be in a classroom and your ROE pupils. Forest Schools is, and has, been an obvious choice for tackling these issues in attendance. I can see your point somewhat, your trained in a particular field so don't deviate. Recruit or train someone in a relevant field like a PE teacher? but wouldn't that same as an IT person being an ESafeguarding Officer (Like me?)

Forest schools is definitely popular. Looks even better to Ofsted that if you were an trained instructor, they measure the success of it more by using it as an in house, learning technique that can be better implemented into your curriculum. Great skill to have on your CV if applying for other school jobs (Its not always about IT in school IT - diversifying makes you valuable).

Pre-req Make sure your IPads have different / separate Tags applied to the devices. So I have StaffIPad and PupilIPad device tags. Then in the Profiles & settings, make sure you apply the obvious Student profile with the PupilIPad tag in the Device tags in Scope. And the same for the Staff IPads with StaffIPad tag. That's the simplest but overlooked part. Thats assuming everything else works, as in your IPads are STILL enrolled and the Meraki profile is not out of date. Check one of the IPads in the client list and see if they have the right profile being push to them (it will tell you if its out of date). I had to re enroll every IPad because El Capitain and Configurator 2 install on the Mac Server. Hope this helps..

Would like to know if anyone tried of anyway to take in one stream and be able to cache it on the network somewhere and staff be able to stream the cache stream using something like vlc?

We run a legacy meraki at the minute for over 150 iPads. Just updated to Apple config 2 b cause I went El Capitan. I use the configurator to prepare and some what auto enrol with the url but it's never been straight forward (having to enter the wifi in all them). Meraki to manage apps and profiles. Can't get DEP properly. Was Recently quoted £17.50 per license for 3 years sub for new meraki. Though it has more management specially with over the air iOS updates, it's very pricey for the time I should actually use it for. Also half our iPads are IPad 2 which iOS 10 won't support so meraki's functionality would stop there.

At the end of the year, we purchased 11 BenQ 65' rp652's. 10 touch infrared. Not the sleekest looking screen but very sterdy, well built units. Work great with SMART Notebook 15.2 (purchased along with, which supports the full 10 touch). I risked loosing the easy of functionality with the SmartInk over saving nearly a grand per board to the equivalent 4065's at £1550 per board (I think it was £1820 including de/install and smart license).

I took my mini bus test to help the school out now and again, I was taken out for the day last Friday to take Nursery to a butterfly sanctuary, then we went to a park and had ice creams. At one point I probably had 15 nursery kids standing on my back. Great day!
