d0pefish Posted January 21, 2014 Posted January 21, 2014 Keyboard too. basically the default keyset given as i haven't seen a need to change it. i do have an x360 controller but i feel the keys give that slight more accuracy at times (especially reversing). normal driving/racing games i'd have said controller

There are mods which make it possible, but they lag so much its not worth bothering. Just need for my PC parts to arrive and I will be happy (hurrah for 6core CPU, 16GB RAM and a 2GB GFX card ) however I play at work during lunch hours, so not too bad. and @cromertech yes, mine is also when it is available to play at home. lol!

CAM Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 Picked it up again yesterday, somehow with Tier 3 ADR I am able to carry Acid which should be Max Tier? Made 48k out of 20 runs so far but just turned on fuel simulation and realised you don't always get enough fuel on Quick Jobs. Went into a petrol station, beached the truck on the fuel pumps after going through the ones for cars and ended up running out of fuel (in a garage!) and using recovery to get out of it. Something seems odd with traffic collision though. I'd have expected four separate fines after speeding and ramming my way between four tightly packed cars on the motorway. And then I go from London to Amsterdam and took the wrong slip road not once, not twice but three times! That added a lot of time and fuel consumption to my journey (thankfully this truck had a full tank and Dutch don't seem to mind you doing illegal U-Turns on their motorways...).
featured_spectre Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 You can choose any of the ADR perks, so in theory you could have Acid first if you wanted. Also, download the realism and traffic mod. Makes things much more interesting. Realism alters the fine costs (lower), but they happen more frequently and you get them for all sorts (merging without indicating, uturns on roads you shouldn't, undertaking etc) plus the extra traffic makes things more fun!
d0pefish Posted January 22, 2014 Posted January 22, 2014 My drivers are finally starting to earn their keep. bringing in about 3k profit per job. so between the two of them, they are paying off my loan. i've got about 120k in the company at the mo, desperately wanting to get another garage but will need at least 220ish as its 144 for garage plus i need another truck then to hire a driver. love doing the german deliveries though....did 3 last night without dipping under 55mph at all, all motorways....then did one job to UK and it was bloody country lanes
